We are looking at small, clean conditions each morning, however late week/weekend holds much better prospects for solid E/NE groundswell from TC Victor.
Primary tabs
Small easing S'ly pulses over the weekend with NE windswell for next week.
Plenty of swell to end the week with winds favouring south facing beaches. We have a dormant weekend ahead, with better prospects on Monday and into next week.
Small tomorrow with a good inconsistent S/SE groundswell building Wednesday along with a building N/NE windswell. Both swells easing Thursday with morning offshores.
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Guy Dixon (issued Friday 8th January)
Best Days: Saturday morning, possibly later next week.
Recap:
Conditions early on Thursday were nice and clean under calm winds as a 2ft east/northeasterly swell rolled in. Today, we’ve seen more size, with a southerly swell building across the magnets. The better part of the morning was pumping with plenty of size and good shape under a northwesterly airflow.
This weekend (Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th):
Multiple sources of east/northeasterly swells in the water to end the week, with light winds each morning. Over the weekend, small southerly groundswells look to break across the magnets.
The run of E'ly swell continues, with Thursday looking like the pick of the bunch. The peak of the swell is looking to coincide with light winds, with clean options in the 3ft range.
Poor S/SE windswell with onshores tomorrow, to be replaced by an inconsistent building E/NE swell Sunday, easing Monday as onshores continue.
Small N/NE windswell for tomorrow and Friday morning, replaced by S/SE windswell Friday afternoon and Saturday. Better E/NE swell filling in Sunday, easing Monday with improving winds.
Tiny over the coming days, with some N/NE windswell Thursday and Friday, replaced by S/SE tending E/SE windswell over the weekend. Long-range NE swell for Monday and Tuesday but with onshore winds.
