We have a powerful swell generating pattern in place with a deep low (993hPa) in the Tasman, supported by a large high (1033hPa) well to the south of the Bight.
The coming week isn't great but the South Coast should offer a window Wednesday and then the Mid Coast later week.

A deepening low to our east will bring persistent onshore winds, spoiling some good groundswell.
The South West will offer small waves over the weekend with more action from mid-late next week.
Mon Update- no change to outlook, tiny/flat this week as Tasman low dominates the space.
By Sun we’ll see a low forming off the South Coast with a strong SE infeed along the southern flank of the low. That will see strong S/SE winds through Sun and building swells from the same direction.
We've got plenty of swell due this period but mostly from the south and with associated south winds. The Mid Coast will be clean but tiny.
