Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Mon Mar 31)

This week and next week (Mar31-Apr 11)

Central QLD: Tiny/flat this week

Still rideable on low tides

No change to the outlook. A trough is moving SE through the inland, expected to form a surface low off the Far South Coast of NSW over the weekend.

This is dragging the tradewinds south out of the CQ swell window.

Low in southern Tasman drags tradewinds south out of CQ swell window

We’ll see some small, fun surf through Sat easing back to just rideable on Sun.

Next week we’ll see weak winds in the Coral Sea and surf should stay tiny/flat at least until the weekend.

Check back Mon for the latest and have a great weekend!

Mon Update- no change to outlook, tiny/flat this week as Tasman low dominates the space. Check back Wed for latest.
