The situation becomes dynamic again next week. The trough is expected to stall in the central Tasman with a new strong front pushing NE into the Tasman and becoming incorporated into the trough system. The system then looks to stall and intensify near the South Island, possibly even retrograding mid next week.

The coming period will be mixed both swell and wind wise with small windows for all regions.

After a great run for sheltered spots, this outlook sees the exposed beaches offering a few windows.

As a low sits off the SEQLD Coast over the weekend we’ll see a small signal of E/SE swell develop Sun at exposed spots north the Breaksea spit.
