Everyone Else Burns!
https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/tv-series/everyone-else-burns
Like why watch another daft religious comedy series...
Why Not...Brilliant breakthrough heartfelt moody comedy that doesn't compromise ethics.
So many hysterically annoying but oh so humbling characters...each will get under yer skin.
Once they do they're stuck like glue...can't just wish them away...your friend till the end!
Yeah! I know...tell us about it...why care for these losers...Ok! So now ya want them as neighours!
Too late...tbb already prayed for that!
Shades of Father Ted's pilgrimage to some Manchester Burrough...no respect for civility nor courtesy!
Rival Chapters smothering brotherly love while praying for the other Flock to be less Devout.
Sweeps ya off yer feet & keeps ya cloud surfin' until ya almost touch down then up & away again.
Yet they'll each convince you they're perfectly normal & it's the world around that needs to rise up.
Addams & Flowers, now add the eccentric Lewis Family that hover above our mere mortal world.
Plain to see that flying high is normal...surrender to their higher calling & rise to the occasion!
This devout puritanical sect convince you that their Cloud Cuckoo land is in higher order.
Never underestimate the power of a parents prayer.
I was thinking back about the first time I watched “ Ian McCormacks original Testimony” it’s on you tube now…….Ian was the guy who died and came back again from 5 box jellyfish stings. As he lay dying on that Mauritius street , he heard his mothers voice say…
Ian, no matter where you are and no matter what you’ve done, Ask God to forgive you from your heart in Jesus name and He will forgive you….
He then identified the God of his mother and then tried to pray…..
..God Himself showed him the words of the Lord’s Prayer visually in his mind and pray he did.
He struggled at one point when the line “ forgive me my sins as I forgive everyone who has sinned against me”….He submitted and forgave those who wronged him in the past and then finished the prayer , closed his eyes and died
The journey after that is an eye opener ….waking up again in a morgue…worth a watch if you haven’t seen it.
Mothers and fathers, pray for your children.
Bring them to Gods attention daily….
Ask for His guiding hand and protection over them…..
There is nothing more powerful than a parents prayer.
You never know when they might be in a situation like Ian’s.

What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul.
Or…what shall a man give in exchange for his soul..? Mark 8 :36, 37.
It’s fascinating to see the extent people will go to for riches, power etc etc.
Many of our world leaders strive all their lives for this pinnacle through bribery and corruption and then…die like the rest of us …..with nothing….with what they were born with…
I wonder what they think about near life’s final moment.
Many people sell out their souls for material gain and flesh feeding pleasures which contaminate the soul and for what?….you cannot control death…it comes to the humble generous and poor man the same as the rich and self indulgent one…
There are many very generous wealthy people too who do not worship their money but use it as tools in their toolbox.
Luke 12: 19-20 says …
And I will say to my soul, soul, you have laid up many goods for many years take your ease, eat drink and be merry….but God says…you fool, this night your soul will be required of you , then whose things will those be which you have provided…
God wants us to prosper without the self indulgent materialistic nonsense that takes you nowhere.
There is a balance there of wealth and generosity…of receiving and giving.
Building bigger storehouses doesn’t make the cut.
You cannot serve God and Mammon.
Perhaps we should think of ourselves like a pool under a waterfall….
God pours in the fresh water , the pool fills and we open the way for the over flow…..the pool is always fresh and the flow downstream constant.
If we block the flow, the pool becomes stagnant and useless to anyone…..perhaps we could look at wealth like that…..keep it moving ,keep the flow downstream to others…..
Have a great day.

An early Sunday morning sermon from ‘ Optimist the Profit’ .
Can you lend me a buck or two ? AW.
Money is not the problem, it’s the love of money.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all of evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children (Proverbs 13:22).
1 Timothy 5:8 says if you don't provide for your family, you are considered worse than an unbeliever.
You can’t take it with you ;)
Nice one AW “Profit” lol
The inheritance thing is a interesting topic these days, some care some don’t.
We’ve experienced both in parents. FIL retired bought a 40 square mansion on the side of a hill, eventually couldn’t even put the bins out lol Put all his money in a mates superfund that was getting 24% interest and then went on a spending spree, then the super fund collapsed and lost $500k ;) went from the house to a retirement villlage to a nursing home to the grave. 2 daughters got something but probably a quarter of what could of been.
My father retired sold the big house bought a small 3 bed villa suitable for them and is still living in it 83, put his money in bank fixed deposits and still has it, still has holidays etc and enjoys life stress free.
Wants to leave a inheritance.
;)

Great song.
It always does my head in how bands can produce such great albums and songs and then produce such crap.
The EPs and first three Albums (4th had moments) were top notch and all a little different, but all their other albums after that are so bland, i tried to give them all a good listen the other month and found it hard to find any songs that are worth putting on a Spotify mix and putting listening time into.
And the funny thing is listening back to the early albums now the only thing missing is a second guitar and some lead, but they addressed that with Davey Lane, im not blaming him but strangely thats when IMHO they got worst not better.
Go figure.
You would be hard pressed to find a bigger wanker and pretender in Australian music than Tim Rodgers
We have a rule at work if a You am I song comes on the radio (no matter what you are doing at the time ) the radio must be turned off/ over

Serious Question to swellnet devout...Is the Devil upon us!
(eCommisssioner Warning!)
Just hold off a bit...tbb is being Bible bashed by the local Bible Belt Flock!
Reason tbb is enquiring is a seasonal uprising in Religious scriptures and hellish parchments.
Nope...not Gods Gift in me Letter Box & not the End of The World scripture wedged in me door.
Started about 3 weeks back...
First saved a Kids Sunday School Certificate from being Christened in the Big Drain.
Same day wore out fingernails prying swathes of slimy Bible School scriptures off local pavement.
Noticing some were similar but all noticeably slimy & grubby out front of the Church as if exorcised.
Super Gross leaving it rot out front of tbb's home & really neat Architectural Church...
https://res-2.cloudinary.com/amn/image/upload/c_fill,h_400,w_712/v161820...
Not real pleasant scraping, chewing & sucking Slimy God's will from under yer fingernails...gross!
Super creepy finger nail chewing conversion freaks tbb out...ONE OF US...yummy yummy!
Next Week rescued a Pretty Cool God Forsaken Painting from the Rail Tracks...
Brought it home & thought to Pin it on Local Notice Board...(But!)
Only then saw more & more half blowing off Overpass Art Gallery Rain-bowing over the [M1]
Once again...no care to Religious Parchments flying about over below M1 motorists / Rail Lines.
Starting to think it's some kinda mass Sacrificial Offering to The God of Pavements.
Also noting the Art is quite good...reason tbb rescued it...all Religious Themed by Art Students.
This week picked up a Religious Collectors Card that was Curled up as a Keep Sake.
Can share a very similar Card...can see it was the Artwork that attracted tbb to rescue it from Traffic.
Like a real Posh Bubble Gum Card > Intro : { St Michael The Archangel DEFEND US }
https://www.reddit.com/r/Catholic/comments/wivwv6/stmichaelthe_archangel...
tbb's card has a Front staple to Exhibit the Card with Full m/f Names (Withheld!) Penciled into prayer.
Now! tbb loves pencils & rarely sees or happens upon Pencil Scripture along the Rubbish Round.
If all that ain't a sign...not finished with the garish detail yet...
Right! All see the above Saint Michael Painting tbb shared...well...tbb's is seriously defaced...(Seriously!)
On account the Devout owner burnt or weathered a hole where Demon's Head used to be! Oopsie!
Check Stapled / rolled up M/F signed cute keepsake Prayer > burning some poor demon's head off!
Again...mandatory carefree sacrifice as if by some high decree exorcism.
Ok! One common theme being this all originated locally...
Local Sunday School almost christened Certificate
Locally Printed Bible Study scriptures sliming our footpath
Devout Local Art reigns from the heavens over [M1] Black Spot and Suicide Watch Train Drivers.
Now the local Demon has his head blasted off > Enquiries PO box Ph : [.....] Surfers Paradise
Q: Is the Devil in Command & is he in Reedy Creek again...Last Scorched our Town on NYE.
Lightning / Raging Fire / Power Black Out / Dead Snake / Weird Wad of Keys / Local Gran's Big Smash
+
Should tbb sleep with growing haul of local Devout sacrifices under his pillow...getting a neck cramp!
Is this tbb's calling...to recycle all Religious calling cards into a Holy Fuckin' Shit One Stop Tip Shop.
Gotta flock of parishioners donating & praying for tbb not to recycle their creepy exorcisms...Amen!
How did you come across that Udo?
Not sure what to make of those 2.
You’d think they would just rather stay out of the lime light and concentrate on their family.
Pastors and people that work in churches don’t live in the real world though, bit like politicians lol.
Often we can feel a bit battered, world weary and often unloved and victims of our own mistakes.
The apprenticeship of life has its lessons and some of them are hard.
You may see yourself like a cheap musical instrument dumped in a corner gathering dust.
But, be encouraged...God sees you as a one off Stradivarius...Something special that others don't see.
The Touch of the Master's Hand......
'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile.
"What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?"
"A dollar, a dollar. Then two! Only two?
Two dollars, and who'll make it three?"
"Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
Going for three…" But no,
From the room, far back, a grey-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loosened strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet,
As a caroling angel sings.
The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said: "What am I bid for the old violin?"
And he held it up with the bow.
"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?
Two thousand! And who'll make it three?
Three thousand, once; three thousand, twice,
And going and gone," said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried,
"We do not quite understand.
What changed its worth?" Swift came the reply:
"The touch of the Master's hand."
And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd
Much like the old violin.
A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine,
A game — and he travels on.
He is "going" once, and "going" twice,
He's "going" and almost "gone."
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought
By the touch of the Master's hand.

Good on you Optimist; you have a good way of looking at this Trump issue …. 2nd highest respected comment on the above article ^^
Didn't work but this site did it https://12ft.io/ although cant read the comments still.
For me these are the worst Christians they are just ridiculously idealistic and naive to the point they are self destructive.
God* gave you a brain to use, he doesn't expect you to bend over and get fucked in the arse.
* Not that i believe in a god, but just saying.
Can you clarify: are you saying Christians who support trump are naive and taking it up the arse @info? If you are I agree and would add stupid as well, cheers, fancy optl ^^ and you turning on the same day!!
The Trump element is kind of irrelevant, i get why some Christians might support Trump and i get why some might not, and i also get why many might not want to vote for either Biden or Trump.
But just the brain dead element of the guy from the article, by all means be a Christian or be religious but its doesn't mean you need to stop using common sense, logic and doing what's best for yourself your family and your country.
Here you go optimist
Not sure my motivation...my instinctive need to stick up for the underdog...my secret desire to be one day honoured rightfully with the role of Forum moderator (expecting a call any day)...
But anyway I couldn't help but read your troubles on another thread...unfortunately I found myself siding with everyone's posts...other than your own...except for the part where you were told you can't post here!
So I put my low IQ mind to coming up with a solution that suits all...and here it is...a safe place if you like
You can post anything you like about your beliefs...and no one has to read it unless they want! Easy peasy...
maybe you could even get Jesus, fat Buddha, Mohammed, and friends to converse in adult conversation here
Solving the world problems, one at a time...call it taking a shovel as a way of moving that mountain
All the best...brother
PS...I actually was born again once, but I grew up, and grew a brain of my own...and realised it was all a load of shit!
