The people that live along the so called new border didn’t care about a border line.
Most worked in Russia, spoke Russian went to school on either side of the line, the line didn’t matter to them only life of many generations mattered.
So who made the line a thing worth killing over….certainly not the people….
And who built bio labs and pushed NATO weapons up to the line no one cared about contrary to what the U.S. promised Gorbachev.
There's big money in weapons sales….and if bad people who sell them have no bad guys they will create the situation where business can boom.
There lies the problem.
The U.S. aren’t giving their old weapons to Ukraine ….there are strings attached and bills to pay for many years to come.
Britain only finished paying off its world war 2 debt to America in 2006 showing war has accounts to pay.
Both sides could stop this war tomorrow by allowing the soft border again.and rejecting foreign interference.
The people along the line are the border and most couldn’t care less about it.
Unless they do this where and when do you think this will end.
Opti, nice word salad, it would be good if you could provide some evidence of how you know what people in Ukraine, or those living along the borders think. Have you been there? Got any surveys of public opinion or references? Or just your own "feels" and "research". You are entitled to your opinion, but let's not ignore the facts.
Russia invaded Ukraine.
They first tried to take out the leadership of Ukraine.
It was an act of war.
Yet you find fault with Biden, you blame Biden, you criticise Biden.
Not Putin.
Why?
Russia invaded Ukraine when they took Crimea and everyone ignored it. Luckily Biden showed some teeth this time around.
‘A couple of years ago’
Ukraine has been independent of Russia for 33 years. I’ve no polls but to suggest the majority are so unhappy with living in a democracy is laughable.
With stories of recent forced Russian votes in the border area you gotta question Opti’s logic. Once again, no polls but even if you speak Russian but have been exposed to freedoms and free press for 33 years I can’t see a majority there being pro Russian.

You really think Biden is running the place, he's got one foot in a nursing home lol
Pointless @arsespam. There probably isn’t a president that hasn’t been a criminal. Just the dumbest one got done.
bit early for cones seeds
edit forgot lol ;)
Choice of leaders for the so called free world.
A geriatric sock puppet
A disgraced chaotic businessman
No wonder 45% of Americans don't vote.
Should be optional here too.
It is optional here @ashsam
Still gotta turn up get your name marked off the roll or pay the fine.
If you are enrolled in the first place, that is the two options.
If you are not enrolled.........
I've never been enrolled, I'm 55yo and never voted a day in my life, not council, local, state or federal. Have never recieved a fine.
ashsam said "You really think Biden is running the place, he's got one foot in a nursing home lol"
OK ashsam, I'll bite, tell us, who is "running the place"?
Be specific.
you really think he's running the place adam12?
making the big calls?
geez, the dude doesn't even know if he's getting in or out of the heliciopter...
and now has a team of 10 'walkers' to hide his feeblness when he does...
I fukn hope he ain't making the big calls!
(vut it would explain a lot if he is...)
Was Trump really running it? Surely a system that allows for voters to directly vote these goons in as President has a few checks and balances before the verbal diarrhea that they speak is enacted. We know it does?
I see Team Butthurt are still rooting for the pussy groping petulant pisshand, laughable @info thinking it’s a witch hunt. Seriously conservatives used to be the fiercest defenders of the pillars of society and democracy- democratic conventions, the law and courts, the independence of the police and armed forces etc etc but now in the US it seems it’s up for grabs. The US has been in decline for decades but apparently it’s Biden’s fault, fuck off, let’s start with Reagan or when the GOP bent over and took it up the arse from the Tea Party. Same in the UK, the sinking rot didn’t start because of Brexit but when Thatcher laid waste to the (unionised) manufacturing sector which has never recovered. We are lucky here because we dig massive holes that feed the economy otherwise we would also be struggling even more so. Our housing crisis didn’t start in the last few years but decades ago with Howard- immigration explosion, CGT concessions, negative gearing, allowing SMSFS to borrow to buy houses etc etc
quite the spiel...
I hope you feel better
tell me honestly guysmiley...
you really think this 'trial' was anything other than political?
(because congratulations... you be in an absolute minority exclusive club if you do...)
"...Seriously conservatives used to be the fiercest defenders of the pillars of society and democracy- democratic conventions, the law and courts, the independence of the police and armed forces etc..."
and 'progressives' used to fiercest defenders of free speech, live and let live..., liberalism generally...
whilst being critical of fbi, cia, military industrial complex, big pharma, 'the establishment' generally...
you really still not aware what's going on?
the shift?
(clue is last one on that list)
Using the law for political purposes? Why not, if the law has been broken?

CNN Senior Legal Analyst Describes How The Trump Conviction Was A Political Hit Job

It was a jury decision Sypkan. Give it a rest.
Okay fuckwit
12 jurors, none exclusively New Yorkers, well educated and well travelled, found him guilty on the EVIDENCE!!!
@Blackers;);)
how's the hostility?
you won... petals...
(sort of)
play nice now
Not here to win anything. What do you win here?
You’re a boring cunt and that other B word Stu said the other day. Mr Academia
No one "won", it's a shambles. Just isn't made any better by idealogues of either side making puerile assertions of "rightness".

the point is...
of all the crimes committed by US presidents... including war crimes...
the first 'felon president' in the US, is for this manufactured garbage...
seriously!
Im cool with it, if youse are cool with it...
but seriously!!
the whole thing is so desperate and contrived its embarrassing
for the US, for the democrats especcially, but also for us too...
pathetic beyond words
the whole 'affair' is prerty much the modern version of JFK shagging marylin monroe...
if you want to go all moral high ground on that...
go ya hardest
Hey @sippy check your US legal history if you’re really interested in how the courts were really used for political purposes and not some trumped up confected conspiracy claptrap; like check out the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Bush v Gore case; clue it doesn’t suit your and others bullshit narrative / clue 2 Gore and the Democrats had the good grace to accept the court’s ruling and not call for insurrection - see my earlier post ^^ about defending the courts, the law and democracy.
Political abuse of power in the US judicial system continued …. the way the republicans denied Obama the right to nominate a candidate for the Supreme Court in the last year of his presidency against all previous convention only to stack it with conservatives in trump’s time leading to the the overturning of Roe V Wade and its 50 years of precedent … no no none of this matters it’s all about a fraudulent failed businessman-baby being screwed over …. seriously sippy what sort of jelly brain do you have?

figure it out not hard
its not about winning anything
its about providing some context...
I understand you might get all triggered and shit when someone points out you may well actually be the 'conservative', rooting for the status quo corrupt establishment...
geez, frownyman literally loses his shit at the suggestion he is actually the 'reactionary' ... reflexively reacting to a new political paradigm...
but hey, that's the reality of it
you guys just keep on a batting for big business, wall st., big pharma, cia, fbi, mic, censorship, 'law and order', a captured academia, a 'captured democracy', legacy media, and insitutions generally...
up to you...
a conservatives gonna conserve...
power...
influence...
'accepted norms'...
a corrupt status quo...
same as it ever was...
bat on boys!

Biden admin has continued quite a bit of Trump admin's trade policies, and then some. Military readjustment has continued, pivot to Pacific started under Obama admin (though he had little interest in foreign affairs). It's not the dude at the top running it, there's a continuity of government and we now exist in great power competition again and none of the big players will let themselves fail.
Biden admin with Inflation Reduction Act has ctrl_p'd and is putting it toward renewing infrastructure/new infrastructure and as a result US is far from declining, it is them and then daylight in global growth at present. Fracking led to energy independence, then fed into renewing and restoring the chemical industries downstream, then they went and got Intel back on track as well as turbocharged their top end tech sector, then they have provided incentives for the world's green tech to come to the states.... I see lots of consecutive good decisions. Their banks are far more solid than in 08, their cost of living/loans/housing is on average way better than here. Productivity in the States has taken off while the rest of the world flounders. They are far from done yet.
This is a good thing as we are part of their sphere of influence.
Something they have stuffed in recent years follows.
https://www.twz.com/sea/navys-new-constellation-class-frigate-is-a-mess
Back in the days of Team America: World Police when boogeymen were chased around the sandbox and the USN was supreme over the seas, they didn't really know what to procure. The result was 2 decades of really odd ships - the two types of LCS (Austal did the trimaran) with high speed, no survivability, and unable to stand in the line of battle, the starship-like Zumwalt destroyers with new tech and staggering cost overruns - and now the people responsible seem to have lined up to make the new, 'affordable and simple' frigate replacement.
If any of you have done a house, or reno, you know not to agree to a design and part way through keep adding on requests to make this bigger, change this, oooh can I have this in there too? You know what happens to the $$$ and time when you do.
So we've got a ship that's been over 70% redesigned, is way delayed, and gone over budget. Meanwhile, China is rolling ships down the slipway at a really fast rate.
I like a guy who can change his mind
especially in this context...

I'm just a dumb cnt, this big world stuff is beyond me, so can you please explain to me exactly who is running the White House if it's not Biden making the calls, you both seem to possess this knowledge, going by your statements, it shouldn't be too hard for you to name who it is.
Who is calling the shots if Biden is not?
Again, be specific.
anyone with half a brain knows it ain’t him lol
