after russia russia russia, the laptop, impeachment 1 and 11 (failed), lawfare 1, 11, 111, 1V ongoing... (failed) ...after media bias, corrupted fbi, cia, SM censorship... on and on...

but yes

as the astute commenters say...

since television it's all about 'the optics'

now steroided up by the internet

the optics of that trump photo versus the jellyflater johnny cash vid above...

it would seem its in the bag

that photo reminds me of that famous WW11 photo, where the troops were propping up that amercan flag flagpole in a battlefield

american patriot porn

(all staged apparently)

but this one wasn't even staged!

a phenomenal captured moment in time

a democrat strategist was on abc yesterday, seemingly on the verge of tears, saying you couldn't write a worse script than the current one regarding the democrats party, joe biden, and their current predicament...

today... you couldn't write a better script for team trump...

the whole thing...

assasination... failed...

a bullet scrape... blood...

jumping back to his feet...

yelling, fight fight fight...

then that photo!

you gotta hand it to the big orange blob

he does great reality television

How is this man's luck?
Amazing.
The contrast between a mumbling, vague Biden at the debate and that Iwo Jima like image of a defiant bloodied Trump, fist raised, with the flag flying in the sky behind him...the election's over. Doesn't matter who the Dems put up, Biden, Harris, Newsom...doesn't matter.
When Trump was President and got covid and did the staged helicopter return to the White House where he stood on the balcony and defiantly ripped off his mask there was a story going around at the time that Trump had wanted to wear a Superman costume under his shirt and wanted to tear open the shirt to reveal a Superman logo. Not sure how true it was.
He's Superman now.
Election over. So too is American democracy. A pivotal historic sliding doors moment, a matter of inches.

Unfortunately for us in Oz, all the Trump idolaters here will come out in force, MAGA capped and waving the US flag.

Unbearable.

I know Adam 12 lives in my universe , but agree with sypkan .

American Democracy was thrown out the door when the DOJ , became Political .

That the Media allowed it to go under reported , was unbelievable .

If I was Trump , I would be firing his Head of Security .

I am no security expert , but surely they would check out every location , before Trump speaks to a crowd .

A bunch of buildings "200-250 yards " with unimpeded Views of the Stage , outside the Security Perimeter , is Snipers heaven .

Those buildings should have had at least one guard and/or drone , patrolling them , surely .

Trump has the perfect excuse , to cancel ALL political rallies and the people will understand .

I bet he doesn't !

I think it';s lucky for everyone in the US , that Trump survived the assignation attempt .

Imagine what would be happening now , if Trump was dead .

Mayhem !

Why haven’t the Democrats come up with their own version of Project 25?

Surely they’ve realised that more and more people are concluding that the system is rotten, rigged against them. Corporations and those who control blocks of corporations at the very least showing signs of severe oligarchical tendencies – antithetical to the interests of the vast majority.

Project 25 is a direct response to this sentiment. You’d think the Dems might have some empathy with those who harbour these concerns. Their once base. The Dems myopia is staggering. No one’s bothered to tell them that we’re not in Kansas anymore?

To paraphrase some smart fella – 90% of Americans are now hillbillies, rednecks, deplorables. And they’re not happy.

The Dems could start here – with the oligarchs - take the advice of this bright young up and comer. The irony is strong with this one.

for the 100th time, just cos you criticise the democrats doesn't mean you support trump...

like, the 40% ...the (now) party-less...

look, trump has his shtick and he takes it to the extreme

he is... 'the disruptor and chief'

but his success was only because democrats provided such fertile ground... because the democrats had lost the plot...

trump's election should have been a correction... a blip... but it wasn't... it just made a certain cohort go harder...

they are literally the tds crew...

still... 8 fucking years on!

and their rhetoric is just plain nutty, they have fostered this thinking that any means is justified to achieve the end... their end...

the end = get trump

MAGA clearly have their nuts too... but I'd say they are a very small percentage... maybe running at 20% of republican voters max...

and they are essentially nobodies, nobody listens to them, and they possess very little influence...

the democrats nutters, I'd say are running at a healthy 50%+

the...

'whatever it takes' crowd...

they are not nobodies, they are media, academia, hollywood, the intelligence apparatus, the high end public service...

'the establishment'

and they generally set the rules

biden promised to unite the country - he has failed abysmally at this task...

that's democrats saying that!

yeh trump is the initial disruptor...

but it's how his opposition has 'reacted' to him that matters...

(very reactionary you might say...)

they have not endeared themselves to the ordinary voter

at all..

(despite bucket loads of $$$...)

they have not endeavoured to unite the country...

at all...

they have just sown hate and vitriol to what they perceive as an existential threat...

(MAGA)

they are totally delusional, both in their take on things, and the perceived 'threat'

poll numbers show this to be true - more than ever - despite the loathefullness most people feel towards trump...

they've won no one over in their four years term... no one!

they've only pushed more people to trump - despite his obvious flaws...

they are a failure in every sense of the word, not least in terms of appealing to, and appeasing ordinary voters...

the 'existential threat', ...is essentially to their power and nothing else...

america IS in a civil war right now...

but despite this,

despite the unrest...

despite the lawfare...

despite the hysterics...

despite the constant calls to arms...

despite the weaponisation of institutions generally...

despite the guns...

there is no war...

yet

there is peace in the suburbs

because most people are actually pretty sane and just get on with their lives

they see it for all that it is...

the deranged democrats however...

Agree, it's come through the unviersities via Frankfurt School teachings over a period of 60-70 years, the 'long march through the institutions' is over and now the anti-western sentiment is evidenced in institutions of state.

If you go back, the whole idea of 'colonialism' was actually promoted as a Soviet strategy that was useful in 'wedging' countries targeted for coups on the periphery of the cold war fault lines; and thus you saw western South African or Rhodesian forces up against Marxist guerilla groups that were sponsored by Russia, China, Cuba. Eg Angola War, Bush War. Now 'colonialism' as a ideological construct is the dominant ideology of our unis, and it divides cosmopolitan populations by race and perceived background of their ancestors. Like formenting a Spartacus revolt.

You might like this Indo:

It would be much, much better now if the western nations took a step back and looked at the ideological divide as a way to undermine them, rather than the vitriol. The division is to weaken them, and a big fight is coming - their enemies are converting their economies to war economies. Wake up!
