The Israel Palestine problem solving thread
old-dog wrote:AW so where is your local, best winds, swell direction, where to park and a daily surf report. Perhaps you have a quiet little corner you'd like to fill us all in on. I know some long time locals over that way who would love to meet you and debate the topic. Last time I was there you couldn't even get a campsite for all the kook hipsters and influencer types. Why mention the names of each break, with a daily report, just say over west somewhere. It may be well known but you don't have to keep reminding everyone about it. Cheers and watch your back ;)
Old dog. Thanks for a mature reply.
Surf Coast , you can find all you need on Swellnet, just like you can for C , click on SA , follow the prompts and emblazoned in flashing light is Cactus. It’s no mystery fella.
I’ll do what the fuck I like, I’m no ‘influencer’, never have , never will, I’m
old.
May I suggest you reassess the time you travel to C, there’s hardly a soul around at present.
Do you really think all of the aforementioned crowds and people are their because of social media, I doubt it very much, those types can’t even change a car tyre without watching how to do it on their phones.
How on earth do you think they’d handle the roads ?
People go there because or oral diarrhoea, mostly by surfers. It’s not a secret as we both clearly know.
Geez, the exclusivity club is in full paranoia swing, again. I detest localism, have so all my life, it reeks of entitlement and voluntary ownership.
The selfish elite who think just because you live in a region, you own it. Meh.
Have your mates never travelled to a foreign surf spot ?
If they haven’t, they should, it’ll enlighten you and you may meet new people, that’d be a change now wouldn’t it.
I’ve surfed with a father and son, both locals, great guys, they provide me with info every day I see them in the water.
I’d trust their knowledge over a computer generated model surf forecast any day.
Are your last few words a threat ?
I won’t mention anything further about the surf so as to appease you. Good enough. But I will never stop reporting on the biological world, the more people know and learn, the better the outlook for the future.
Now, off to deal with MichaelHunt207. AW
Roadkill wrote:Guy spends time crying to admin…who also ignore him. Lol
Yep because they are ridiculous complaints, basically "i dont like what your saying you shouldn't be able to say things i dont like"
I advise him that if he really does have an issue with anything someone post, then send Swellnet an email with the name of the thread and the post time (or screenshot it)
Then they can check it out.
Of course they probably aren't going to appreciate it or take you seriously, if you get making ridiculous petty complaints.
See I figured you saw through my little ruse RK ^^ but do you really want to be associated with those two bait /smoothie “gobblers”?
Edit: you speaking from experience there @info no doubt, you’ve done a good deal of snivelling to stewie over the years

Actually i dont think ive ever ever sent an email to Stu or Ben complaining about a poster or post or whatever, there probably has been times when i could have, but i just think it takes care of itself, the real serious trolls guys like Facto or Herc cant help but get themselves banned.
People like you are annoying but i happy to just ignore you most of the time.
“Long time locals”
Haha fuck I hate that description in reference to that place. They might have been hanging around there a long time, but most of them blew in from WA, Vic and NSW. Some of them have had kids, who could rightfully be described as locals, but the rest, nah.

Sure.
A Jew.
That lives in Israel.
Hi Roady. Thought this was an interesting comment.
Can speak for a Jew that lives in Israel. She works for Google. High paying job. Parties most weekends like there's no tomorrow, her and her family have massive parties for birthdays etc....and she can travel anywhere she likes, anytime she likes.
Lives a fairly lavish life, goes to the beach most weekends, always posts pics of parties, beach, good times.....
I wonder on the flipside, what it would be like to be her same age and education.... as a Palestiian living in Gaza.

On the flip side I think it would be absolutely crappy to live in Gaza.
However, the Voted in Govt has stolen the Palestinians money and the leaders pilfered it away for years and years and are now living in hotels in Qatar. They have murdered their own citizens, they have not let girls go to school, they have destroyed infrastructure, they disallow fun and partying and growing up in freedom, they have ruined Gaza. They are responsible for the shit box that is now Gaza.
Education for woman and girls…wtf. That can’t be allowed..those chicks would then want to think for themselves and have a say in what happens. That is a big NO NO.
…apparently there is a vibrant cafe scene, no masks tho

I think so.
Not sure if you agree..i think you do going by those points you raised.

Even if Israel didn't exist and it was all Palestine and she was muslim so could live in Palestine her life wouldn't be anything like that, her life is like that because she lives in a progressive democratic country with a government that cares about its people.
For example if she lived in Gaza born to a muslim family even before the 7th October it would still kinda suck for her,
I doubt her family would let her work at google let alone work at all, and as a women in gaza she wouldn't have that education to get the job anyway,, she would be expected to be married off and serve her man, and she sure wouldn't be able to party or even have a drink cause its not only haram (forbidden) but illegal and even if she went to beach she would have to be fully covered and stay dry, so the only pics you would see of her would her sweating away covered from head to toe, with her male partner or brothers keeping a watchful eye on her every move.
Basically she would be oppressed not because of Israel but because of radical Islamic culture and government (Hamas.)

You don't have to read my post, 100% cool with that, i will still quote your post and point out the obvious often ridiculous flaws though.
Like how if Israel was under Palestine rule all these women would suddenly be free from oppression, working during the week, partying on the weekend, taking of their hijabs down the beach stripping down to bikini's and having a refreshing swim, then jet setting around the world.

The whole survey results/read is pretty sad, but not surprising.
We think the media spin and bias in our countries is bad imagine their's though the amount of misinformation would be crazy and often very heavily controlled by governments, social media is also already bad with bubbles but it would be even worse for many not getting exposed to anything in English

Read the list of countries where the survey was taken .
Look at the TINY sample size .
The survey is a crock of shit imho !
No UAE or Turkey .
Even the Iranians don't view themselves as Arab ( they don't think themselves Arabs at all , ask one , I have ) .
The countries that have this view now , will change their view with strong and sensible leadership .
There is a peace coming 2 the ME , soon . I hope .
When the Iranian Mufti's fall , the next most powerful group will takeover Iran .

BTW. Forgot to mention this yesterday.
This was the biggest surprise for me.
How high the Al aqsa mosque rated. (that is built on. the site of two destroyed Jewish temples and the holiest site to Jews)
It hasn't even mentioned here and it's so rare to have it mentioned anywhere elsewhere, there is stories on it if you google it but more from middle east sources.
Not sure how a Hamas attack on 7th October actually, helps in that regard though, its more likely to have extreme Zionest groups attack the mosque, and the other week Hamas rockets were flying up in that area which is scary, because if one of those rockets hit it, the whole Arab world and media would twist it as Israels fault somehow and world war 3 would probably break out.
Heres is the conversation link from top of search results.
https://theconversation.com/why-al-aqsa-remains-a-sensitive-site-in-pale...
And a link to Jewish history of the site (about 1,000 years or so of Jewish history before the mosque was built)
