Make the most of today ahead of a poor, windy weekend, continuing early next week with some stronger SW groundswell in the mix.

We’re now looking at a very significant S swell early next week as a deep low sits off the South or Gippsland Coast with severe gales to storm force winds aimed into the proximate southern swell window.
We’re now looking at a very significant S swell early next week as a deep low sits off the South or Gippsland Coast with severe gales to storm force winds aimed into the proximate southern swell window. Concurrently, another Ross Sea ice shelf fetch will be peaking or just post-peak as a massive deep low forms NE of the Ross Sea on the weekend and develops storm force winds.
We’ll see a couple of fun days of surf from the initial tradewind fetch feeding into the trough for CQ.
We’ll see surf from this NE-E/NE infeed propagate from the sub-tropics down to temperate regions over the weekend, eventually generating swells for NETas as a surface low forms from the trough off the south coast of NSW and moves towards Bass Strait.
It’s likely we will see remnants of the inland monsoon low approach the SEQLD/NSW Coast during the weekend, dragging a moist NE flow down from the tropics and creating a mini black nor-easter event. Make the most of the coming days before a deepening low east of us brings onshore winds from the weekend.
The coming period is slower ahead of a possible more active outlook from later next week.

The coming period isn't ideal at all with clean conditions inside the gulf but no quality swell. The South Coast will be mostly blown out apart from a couple of windows.
