Epstein was doing what a good journalist should.....putting the guy in the hot seat, but he was largely speaking hypothetically and Dreyfus answered in kind...."if it is in fact true". Since 2014 nurse intake has risen both domestically through tertiary education and skilled immigration.....the last two years notwithstanding. Using snapshot numbers shows a shortfall as Boomers retire and increase load on healthcare, however trend projections show nursing numbers as meeting requirements even with Labor's nurse per shift aged care plan.

I guess it depends on intake from now till then (note nursing degree can be two year fast-tracked at many unis) but I'm glad a party started applying pressure to what will be a contested area in the near future.

Interesting fact about this nurse 24/7 in nursing homes (confected) issue.

Currently the 170+ Vic Govt operated nursing homes where nurses are there 24/7. While nurses cost more all sorts of other costs involved in proper resident care are way down because of the intervention by nurses meaning the overall cost isn't as great as Morrison and the LNP are making out.

So we have a real life living example on why nurses in nursing homes 24/7 makes good care and economic sense!

It will be Labor's fault!

The real problem is under Labor interest rates will rise faster and go higher.

Why?

Because Labor will have pressure from unions to lift wages too fast, we already have inflation but wages rising too fast will also create wage push inflation, which will mean more pressure on RBA to lift interest rates once, twice, three times, four times, ten times????

If LNP stay in wages will rise but not at crazy rates and inflation will be lower, interest rates will rise, but slower and less so.

Anyway im starting to look at this all as a win win.

If Labor get in they are fucked they will always be linked with rising interest rates, and be booted out sooner rather than latter.

If LNP get in and we will have the best chance to keep interest rates as low as possible and economy as healthy as possible and fuck how nice would it be too see Labor lose two un-lossable elections in a row. (but i don't think its likely)

Albo couldn't answer a basic question and wanted him silenced.

This is the shit im talking about my point by point list, todays media love these common man trying to make politicians look bad situations, it gets clicks and sells.

Scomo has been hammered in this area, but Albo is also going to get hammered, if his method of dealing with it, is to try to silence people in the short term it might save some pain, but it will back fire big time in the long run.

We don't know because he didnt get to ask his question.

Slightly different scenarios but same deal of getting challenged by public, just different ways of dealing with it.

Unless people get aggressive and abusive if you're a poly you have to deal with them, yeah it would suck but it's the game, if you choose not to play too often your going to ended up looking pretty gutless.

He would have been better to have taken his question and then seen if he could answer it, if it was a total troll, he could have avoided the question and made a joke, if the guy had got abusive the yeah you can be firm and ignore his question, because you don't want to engage and inflame a situation.

Yeah great result!
If Scomo gets in Australia as the democracy we have known will be gone, his own side saying that. Corruption will never be held to account. Howard had highest interest rates in Oz history when he was treasurer, so again as had been pointed out by myself and others you only cherry pick info to suit your narrative.
And what is it? Labor no longer represent workers and are inner city woke, but still go along with unions?
Wages have been stagnating under the LNP, but hey you are doing well so all's good in the hood... Those aged care workers don't deserve a pay increase.
Again I will bring to your attention, in comparison to OECD countries, Australia have historically performed better when Labor have been in govt.
But yeah bring on trillion dollar debt thanks to LNP!!! Gerry is happy...
You are probably correct though that if Labor do get in they will cop blame, but Australia will still be able to get through in better shape than if LNP were in. Some of them are too busy shagging male prositutes in prayer room. ;)

But indo you said earlier that albo couldn’t answer a basic question , that according to roaddill had albo pissing his pants in the corner. So yes the question didn’t get asked because the bloke was politely told it was a press conference and that they both were happy to talk with him afterwards. The disappointing part is no press report or footage of what happened after the press talk . Did he get to ask his “ tough “ question ? At a press conference do pollies normally answer questions from the public that gate crash the meeting ? BTW I don’t see albo as a strong leader but the lies , corruption, waste of money, lack of transparency , rorts, shitfuckery etc etc can’t continue . A change of government and ICAC into both parties is needed . I also think your crystal ball is a bit foggy.

It was a press conference, you know for registered members of the Press. There is a protocol, what any Joe Public can walk in on any press conference? Let's have anyone come in to Press Club. Be interesting to see if individual was a set up by LNP.
Different scenario if in pub.
I hope they have an open style debate with questions allowed from public before election ....

I don't get it, If he worked all his life he should be sitting pretty with super and aged pension. All the oldies I know own their homes and their super still keeps growing despite drawing a few hundred bucks a week and have to keep stashing cash in the safe to keep getting the full pension which is pretty generous by world standards. So what did he do with all his money? These days every one thinks the Govt. owes them a living. Govts. have known about the ageing population for the past 30 years and failed to act so he cant just blame Scomo for all his problems. Just a silly old bugger I reckon.

Im not sure what you're on about Andy, but these are the interest rates that matters to everyday Aussies.

Doesn't show last few years under Scomo, but as we all know they go lower again.

Official graph from RBA, take it up with them if you think it's wrong.

Edit: Sorry one fk up to graph party lines, the line that divides Keating and Howard is on 93 it should on 96 (march) on that second little peak as soon as Howard came in rates feel again fast.

In regards to the sex in parliament prayer room, they ( sites you mentioned) are citing legal documents. If not true I believe the defamation talk would have started.
But are you ok with high level of govt engaging in paid sexual acts?

Can someone explain this ICAC thing to me? Don't we already have a legal framework with an execution arm (federal police) to prosecute corruption? We don't need ICAC to prosecute such prevalent corruption (if there is so much corruption according to some). I get it that ICAC should have a broader scope (for example looking into AFP and also setting integrity guidelines for MP behavior etc...). But if corruption is so obvious and prevalent some people should be arrested even with the current setup. What am I missing here?

No worries with the act, don't care and agree with you as far as that goes. But when a married man is engaging in paid sexual activity with someone who is not his wife, and guessing it is without her consent, this leaves that person open to extortion and blackmail, but hey maybe is open relationship... You cannot see the problem there?
Also if I was shagging a hooker at my work place whilst meant to be working,I would not expect to be employed there for much longer if caught....
