Good DJ pick @Jelly Trev Jones is an old mate of most of us as kiddies:
probably religious (jim henson is more worthy than any I can currently think of for positively influencing young humans with an empowering wonder of the unknown): @seeds and I had a chat about what you choose to take with you on journeys. Or overseas travels. Or car journeys.
slug or snail (or something even cooler?). travel light through life. surely. 'they' say God will provide. It's actually pretty accurate. If you are a people person, people will help, we've all been disarmed and humbled by human generosity. But, if you like to be financially autonomous and independent, Aus travellers, generally have that luxury, also.
Bit of Buddha
“One is the quest for worldly gain, and quite another is the path to Nibbana. Clearly understanding this, let not the monk, the disciple of the Buddha, be carried away by worldly acclaim, but develop detachment instead.”
“Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth, a trusted friend is the best relative, Nibbana is the greatest bliss.”

;) as much as I grin at birds and big raccoons
there’s a theme developing here.
Seems we don’t need religion or cults. We just need to be selfless humans.
Appears to me religious morals are actually inherent in us all. Some choose to carrot cake though.
Go the Lions!!!!
^ mathematically amazing result, what're the odds??
^^ yep well done, I took the odd$

&pp=ygUZY2hhbnQgYSBwc2FsbSBzdGVlbCBwdWxzZQ%3D%3DThird time I've posted this, I reckon, but GOD I love how creative and thoughtful we are, and don't want that history to get swept away cos our thinkings got corrupted by politicians and theologians. My fave era of modern western history is 400 - 1100 CE, between rome telling us what to do, and monotheisms and scandinavians telling us what to do. Late Antiquity. The era that divisive fuktards like to call the dark ages. Beautiful, we have the capacity to be (as @truebluebasher might say in an introspective moment, while reflecting on punky times ; )
^ watch from 17mins, if you want to see how we have created and evolved our saviour, prior is cutesy polemnic/mason-esque/cultish kinda ditherings around wordplay, which is cool too..

sorry @goofy, fibbed a bit, (unintentionally), the best sentence segment on SN this week: "..he began eschewing the king's English in favour of teenage txt speak"
in celebration of wordsmith @stu bringing back the 'eschew', (as one might bring back the 'girt'), here's a jolly ditty written by a trump-esque arsehole dickity-fuckity-cunty king, not a man by any measure, who created a whole religion (well, denomination). We sang it in underground cloisters in Norfolk once. A gay old time was had by all. ('eschew' @ 1:13)
we also sang this, which was easily the highlight
kondalilla; stephen leek. carl crossin; adelaide chamber singers.

posted this here, cos any gympie/atlantis/alien/hancock/fingerprints of the gods stuff, is what happens when you take the idols away from the monkeys. amazing, hey? we ain't ready for no-religion. our need to feel like there's something 'going on'..? tin hats, big-gov.. why can't we just take interest in being the cleverest, most interesting, and most destructive thing on an astonishing (asTONISHING!) blue marble in the middle of billions of years of geo-evolution, in the middle of nowhere, in a space we'll never comprehend? is it just too much maybe?

it's interesting, I never found a deep connection with pink floyd, (other than REALLY enjoying 'the final cut' on cassette.. and thinking ummagumma was interesting.. and doing covers of their popular tunes as a grom..) and though:
We cower in our shelters with our hands over our ears
Guitar/Drums' awful stuff runs for years and years and years
An earthquake hits them Superbowls
But the stadium Rock Gods cannotsee
When the Factory Dollars dry up
It will Fuck their boring legacy
It's a Miracle
I really enjoyed the stellar-introspection of that clip : )

1980, asimov talks about user-friendly tech, spotify, apple tv, iphones, spaceX, genetic modification and the current war (though he thought it would have gotten like this 10 years ago, if we hadn't stopped being global fuckheads, and put to bed our ideological differences). For him it's a glib chat, but good on letterman, kinda cerebral for a chat show. Asimov is also a believer in government and industry being kinda socialist/neo-victorian, he's not so much a dystopian politico-cultist by nature. reckon if he saw the trumps and social media revolution, he'd smirk, and say "of course this will pass, it has to.. otherwise mankind will be doomed, haha.."

Here’s a preacher that’s all that.
Here you go optimist
Not sure my motivation...my instinctive need to stick up for the underdog...my secret desire to be one day honoured rightfully with the role of Forum moderator (expecting a call any day)...
But anyway I couldn't help but read your troubles on another thread...unfortunately I found myself siding with everyone's posts...other than your own...except for the part where you were told you can't post here!
So I put my low IQ mind to coming up with a solution that suits all...and here it is...a safe place if you like
You can post anything you like about your beliefs...and no one has to read it unless they want! Easy peasy...
maybe you could even get Jesus, fat Buddha, Mohammed, and friends to converse in adult conversation here
Solving the world problems, one at a time...call it taking a shovel as a way of moving that mountain
All the best...brother
PS...I actually was born again once, but I grew up, and grew a brain of my own...and realised it was all a load of shit!
