As you mentioned, I have heard concerns expressed from expert peoples that the side effects with people prone to allergies and/or with auto immune diseases are perhaps the most worrying unknowns about this vaccine and mRNA vaccines in general.

Because of the way mRNA vaccines work (this is my amateur understanding definitely not an expert), put simply - they do not contain the pathogen within them unlike most vaccines, some experts are concerned about the POSSIBLE longer term changes that the immune system COULD make as a result of this somewhat oblique immune reaction (and successful against COVID apparently) that the vaccine initiates.

The fact that the pathogen is not required to make the vaccine makes production both safer and far more suited to rapid and mass production. It must be kept very cold to remain effective which will make it more challenging to deploy en mass.

As with anything there are pros and cons. In my opinion and limited understanding, the unknown possibilities regarding mid/long term adverse immune/health reactions, are the major cons. No amount of lab testing on animals that live shorter lives than humans can prove conclusively that long term adverse effects won’t happen in humans. Obviously the circumstances in the short term are dire AF so these unknowns are going to be gambled with.

The major pro is the new rMNA technology, if successful, will be the weapon to put paid to the COVID epidemic, a major leap forward in vaccine development and a powerful weapon against future epidemics.

My guess as to what that's all about: from what I've read, the pfizer vaccine does not necessarily prevent you from contracting the disease nor from passing it on. What it does do is prevent you from getting seriously ill from it (basically, it preps your immune system to fight it off more effectively). So continuing to wear a mask and refraining from travel would be about protecting people who haven't yet had a chance to get vaccinated - you could get the disease and be fine, but pass it on to an unvaccinated person and they get seriously ill. I'd imagine that advice would change once a sufficient number of people have been vaccinated.

PS echoing my post from last night: people from Avalon (or who have been to av recently) should check the list of venues on that link and get tested if they've been to any of them (or if they get symptoms).

Nice work pops I have read and heard the same about the Pfizer vaccine, regarding it not preventing contraction and spread of the virus but eliminating most of the dangerous symptoms. The unknown long term effects of the rMNA vaccine to the immune system, amongst other things, are very concerning IMO

It depends on the telomeres of the lab mice as to how they develop into senescence. There is a lot of variation of telomere length among different sources of lab mice.

Agree with the second part of what you say, but not necessarily the first. By "safe", it's pretty well understood that it means something along the lines of "meets or exceeds minimum safety benchmarks". If and when it passes a full therapeutic goods approvals process, there's no reason not to use that word.
It's the same case with any new medicine. It's simply impossible to know with complete certainty until you have the data to look back on.
I'd imagine (I'm not an expert in this area, just a scientifically literate punter, so I admit to be speculating here) they'd look at results of animal tests, whatever they can garner r.e. longterm effects from the human trials, and also consider any possibly mechanisms that might create any longterm complications as part of the approvals process.

FWIW, covid itself does seem to cause some damage that could/would lead to long term impacts in some cases (loss of lung function,...)

Supafreak, there's no substantial evidence ivermectin is a worthwhile drug for Covid 19. Just anecdotes and small sample studies, some of which are for SARS not Covid.
There's an army of medical professionals studying various covid treatments. If ivermectin showed substantial promise, there would be thousands of doctors researching the drug's effectiveness via clinical trials. So many experts have dismissed the effectiveness of the drug.
But you grab hold of one doctor and a lunatic Liberal Party MP's social media output and think ...eureka!!
That village idiot Craig Kelly is still promoting Hydroxy-Chloroquine. There's a reason why the drug approval process is overseen by experts, not YouTube resurchers who were furniture salespeople.

VL this latest evidence is data from the last 3 months from a group of doctors who from the outset have been trying to find a solution with known drugs , watch the video , these aren’t run of the mill doctors they are leaders in their field , like the video states , the focus has been on new experimental vaccines not on what 100 years of medicine has taught us , at the end of the day it’s about politics and money make no mistake about that.

Have a think about that statement and weigh up the probabilities in your head for a sec. That might have been largely the focus in the media coverage, but you can be assured doctors the world over were and are looking for treatments in the current lineup of medicines available.

Even if ivermectin is really cheap, by the sounds of it people would need an extended course, that's 10's of billions of doses, it's still absolutely truckloads of money. In fact, if I recall correctly (which I may well not) the cost of the vaccines were around $20 - $25 each, so $40 - $50 per person, a full course of ivermectin might even be more expensive than the available vaccines.

Conspiracy ? Please google FLCCC then have a look at there data and findings , if you want to go further have a look at the doctors who make up the FLCCC and their credentials. If you believe politicians and pharmaceutical companies are squeaky clean , then you may have to do some more research, Pfizer track record ain’t that great.
