We know a lady in her 50’s who got her period back again after the vax.
I heard that Blindboy is pregnant.

Here is todays:
There are 211 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 22 people in ICU and four requiring a ventilator. Of the people hospitalised, 124 are fully vaccinated, 19 are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 68 have an unknown vaccination status.
211 hospitalisations with 124 fully vaxxed and 19 unvaxxed or partial.
So correct me if I’m wrong but the percentage of unvaxxed in hospital is just over 9% of the total hospitalisations in SA?
Wonder why they don’t announce this at the daily press release
Whaddya reckon the proportion of unvaxxed is in the ‘unknown’ status then? You leaving them out for a reason? I’d suggest someone who was so confident in their immune system that they wouldn’t a vax or need to go to hospital is more likely to refuses to disclose their status out of embarrassment….
But, carry on….

You making assumptions? You know what they do right?
I would think any hospital admission you would need a Medicare card?
And to add, these unvaxxed admissions would also include kids 11 and under that could have been been admitted for a broken arm but just happened to have covid, so the actual % could be even less
Interesting read: cut and pasted bit below is only a tiny bit of the article.
"COVID-19: Did Omicron evolve in mice?
Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing have now found evidence that Omicron may have evolved its large collection of unusual mutations in mice.
They believe that an earlier variant, from the lineage known as B.1.1, jumped from a human into a mouse in mid-2020. Over time, it evolved a range of adaptations to its new host before causing an infection in another human in late 2021.
They identified 45 “point mutations” in the RNA of Omicron that they propose occurred after the variant split from its last known common ancestor in humans."

Only the same assumptions that you are old cobber. I’m just not omitting numbers to prove a point.
Vaccinations are recorded in myhealth, right?
You didn’t answer my question did you?

You also said that people wouldn’t want to show they are unvaxxed in hospital, which I answered and said that you would need to show your Medicare card (which mean they can not hide it)
Using your logic people might also be embarrassed they are triple jabbed and still need hospital care!
So IMO it would be the same % or roughly the same.

So you reckon 50/50 then? Equal split. Is that what you’re saying? Doesn’t help your argument, noting the percentage of the population unvaxxed vs vaxxed, and thus the proportion of unvaxxed hospitalized.
I reckon people that are vaxxed are less likely to be embarrassed about their ‘status’ tbh. The few people who I know that aren’t vaccinated are quite sheepish about it, even where they have valid reasons. Not everyone’s as out and out proud as yourself. Social pressure is a powerful thing.
It does raise a question for me - how is an unknown status recorded? There are a couple of medical professionals who comment on here occasionally. Anyone know?

Yeah I gotta agree there, it is a bit odd
Has anyone else noticed that our QLD Chief Health Officer Dr John Gerrard appears to be a full blown tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist whack-job?? He's coming out and saying things like
Dr John Gerrard wrote:I think it is the anxiety of the unknown ... it is just another virus. There’s nothing mystical or magical about it.
It’s just another respiratory virus...
I'm a bit worried about him and his mental health.
Also, I recalled youtube's COVID-19 medical misinformation policy says the following is not allowed:
youtube wrote:Claims that the symptoms, death rates, or contagiousness of COVID-19 are ... equally as severe as the common cold or seasonal flu
I'm really worried that he's going to get banned from youtube...
Looks like we've now got a crazy person running the show...
indo-dreaming wrote:Yeah saw that video the other day, hence why i wanted to read more about it.
Did you read this peer reviewed article indo ? ,it is about the origin of the Wuhan virus , I put it in a different thread and it turned into a discussion on china not what the paper was about . Basically the best fit for the spike protein to the Ace2 receptor was in humans, not bats or pangolins which led Petrovsky to believe the virus was man made. https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/784947. Surprisingly, the results showed that SARS-CoV-2 bound to ACE2 on human cells more tightly than any of the tested animal species, including bats and pangolins. If one of the animal species tested was the origin, it would normally be expected to show the highest binding to the virus.

But does he realise he won’t be able to watch cat videos if he gets banned from YouTube? Really needs to pull his head in with the covid misinformation

Did somebody say cat videos!?? The Florence's kitty, oh so cute featured many times here.
Fact: a surfer is more likely to catch Hawaii fever during January than coveed! Be very careful folks.
Anyway sorry back to the thread.
Ps. Look at the little kitty though!! And those pipe kegs! Holy moly.
Gsco, that’s a fascinating quote from the Queensland Health Officer.
For months/years the population has been told to be scared of the virus and now it’s here and everyone is freaking out and ringing their GP at all hours of the night, it has apparently transformed to “just a respiratory virus”, now get back to work.
Best brother surfing team in the world and they've got the coolest cat on the planet.

Probably the most honest thing that had been said in the last 2 years.
Yesterday he also said that while the kids have 2 extra weeks holidays what he’s really pushing is for parents and grandparents to have boosters and didn’t mention anything about kids.
Very different to what his boss is saying unfortunately, let’s see how quickly he gets pulled into line

She’s got some good point.
Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is a cold bath or shower when you have the sweats. Ride that shit out, your body is doing it’s job.
She’s young and fit, no need for the vaccine as it does not stop transmission

I won’t disagree with anyone who says a healthy diet is beneficial to health. However, a healthy diet and exercise is not the golden ticket to a life of good health. Only the stupid believe it is.

This is up there with the stupidest shit you’ve written. EVER
Went to my no BS physio recently for a persistent niggle & he’s a big fan of yoga, he hits the mat daily for what he describes as his medicine. Says it’s the best way, after healthy eating, to stay young.
Waste water testing in the US suggest infections are up to 5 times higher than the test data shows.
Australia is probably similar.
The whole test based containment / slowing strategy and relevance of the rules is falling apart due to delays and lack of RAT tests.
Plus the chaos of rule based isolation measures that are affecting up to 40% of critical work forces (based on lagging data) is causing serious problems everywhere.
Omicron is driving us fast towards something simpler. Maybe it is:
Sick, stay home. Not sick, take sensible precautions.
Good post frog. It’s hard to get a test, most drive throughs down here stop taking punters within an hour of opening due to the demand.

Seriously burleigh. This is Belle Gibson level wellness bullshit.
So a healthy diet and exercise ISN'T gonna keep you mostly healthy all your life?
Right. Gotcha.
I agree Burleigh. This is up there with the cafe incident. The fact VL has to try to discredit the two fundamentals of healthy living says it all really.
Some basics Covidiots anti-vaxxers cant seem to understand:
1. Covid Omicron is different to Covid delta. Therefore the health advice has changed.
2. The vaccine prevents hospitalization rates, not transmission.
3. As the vaxxed pop nears 100%, basic maths tells us that the proportion of vaxxed to unvaxxed in hospital must increase
4. Australia is one of the freest countries in the world. We are nowhere near the authoritarianism of truly authoritarian countries like Nth Korea, Syria, Chad, Congo etc. Calling us authoritarian and totalitarian is absurd.
5. The govt is run by people and mistakes have been made in a situation (the pandemic) that was new. This doesnt mean the govt is evil/wants to control your life/ is completely incompetent etc.
6. Vax side-effects typically happen soon after taking a vaccine or not at all. The history of vaccination tells us this.
7. People with higher research degrees immunology, virology etc. have a level of understanding of medical data that the layperson can't even imagine exists, because even though the average person can read, they don't know what they don't know (which causes them to misunderstand more than understand).
8. The govt is not making money by vaccinating everyone for free. There is no Aust govt/big Pharma conspiracy. Its costing our govt heaps to vaccinate everyone which in turn will lessen its capacity to provide the services that will win it votes.
9. From the beginning of the pandemic the Aust govt chose to prioritise lives over livelihoods. This is why our covid death rate as a percentage of total population is one of the lowest in the world.
10. Many countries have had way harsher lockdown measures than Aust has. Many US schools and schools in Indonesia were closed for more than a year. Schools in Uganda for 2 years.
11. There are way worse issues of human rights abuse than vax mandates - ie. the recent independent UK tribunal Findings re China and Uighers which found China guilty of crimes against humanity including mass killing, crimes of forcible transfer, sex violence, deprivation of liberty, persecution due to beliefs; and crimes of genocide in the form of a policy to systematically prevent the birth of uighers. Not to mention the situation in Afganistan. The anti vax covidiot movt is a distraction from real issues.
John Gerrard actually said that its just another respiratory virus IF YOU ARE VACCINNATED and then Burliegh said it was the most honest thing he's said in 2 years. Finally he got something right for once.

A healthy diet and exercise will increase the probability of a long and healthy life but it doesn't guarantee it you idiots. Pure luck plays a part too. There's no shortage of super fit crew who wake up one morning with a ticker problem or cancer.
Seriously blokes WTF is it with you lot and absolutes? Vax isn't perfect so you won't take it. Eat well and exercise and you get a long and healthy life. The best way to beat covid is diet and exercise so ignore everything else.
I'm going to put this out there. The wellness industry is full of profoundly stupid people too fucking lazy or idiotic to get proper medical training. It attracts shonks and idiots like Burleigh, Pete Evens and Belle Gibson. There's a reason why so many wellness cranks fall down the anti-vax rabbit hole.
