First time, me and a buddy had two Reflective Sunglassed Intimidators (Military bought private secruity) warn us not to hike up a certain mountainside as it yielded views (from far flippin away) of a runway that is rumored to be used to back engineer UFOs. This mountain actually had no trail, just had to get from one Joshua Tree with a yellow ribbon on it to the next, using binoculars. The problem was that you also had to be hyper aware of the orange border posts so as not to encroach on Military land by using a straight line from tree to tree, if that makes sense. We were told by The Goons that if we strayed onto their land, we would be shot, no questions asked. We made our way up, saw basically nothing on that runway from the peak, so far away that it just looked like a buncha ants scurrying around. The Goons followed us most of the time from their land using boom mikes and nightvision goggles and shit. We had to hustle back down as darkness falls quick in the desert and pretty much ran down the last bit, rattlers be damned. When we got to our vehicle, The Goons had punctured a tire. We spent the next two days in the desert on a spare til we got to Las Vegas and had it fixed. I saw weird stuff in the sky that night and opted to spend the night on my army cot out in the middle of the desert. My friend chose the warm trailer. (It's very cold at night mid-winter there.) Anyways, a fun story of which this is just a slab, but i gotta go swipe out now and make my way to The Briny. Big storm today, no one will be out, but i'll just go there and be. Have a good one.
P.S... the military bought that mountain a few years later to shore that up. lol

Actually most of my info i get comes from podcast from channels like military channels, Jelly is MR Youtube, but yes both sources in this modern world are a good way to get up to date information and much more detailed than an print article that can only contain a few minutes worth of content, and sorry but there is no books that provide up to date information.

Some random guy on a youtube channel might claim Hamas can be destroyed without killing civilians and think they know best, but a military channel will help you understand how war is conducted and what is possible and help you understand why the war is fought as it is etc
Funny you mention Mark Twain, he is visited Israel in the mid to late 1800's before Jews started moving back a process that started in the late 1800 early 1900's

Cheers, yeah it's a challenge sometimes but you have to try to not get involved in the pointless back and forth's, a lot of it is to try to silence views and bring others down.
