Just been out doing the mowing before an arvo beach walk. Listened to this interview with Canadian PM, Mark Carney. Felt a little bit proud of my analysis after "liberation day" as he says that since trump has effectively started removing the US as a reliable trading partner, that all other countries will just start to bypass it on trade. This isn't some two bit chump with a microphone, it's the guy who will likely win the Canadian election, ironically thanks in part to trump.
But he does come across as a serious person. A joy to listen to in this day and age.

critical race theory, critical feminism theories, gender theories, post structuralism, post modernism, post colonialism, etc etc. all came from somewhere...
this can be attributed to the embracing and development of progressive thought process and practice that benski described earlier
we now have had two generations through universities where these theories have been the very basis for things like the humanities and education, and especially sociology...
which even gets a smattering of a run through courses like economics...
you can argue til the cows come home if uni departments are stacked with 'marxists' or not...
but to argue that generations of education, decades of social studies, indigenous studies, criminal justice studies, law, gender studies - and by extension - government policy - hasn't experienced some form of contemporary marxist influence, is to deny 3 or 4 decades of academic 'progress'
