Below is an edit of the biggest, best and heaviest waves of the year so far in Tahiti, accompanied only by the raw sounds that are unique to hundreds of tons of ocean heaving over a very sharp and very real reef. It’s a preview of more good things to come. Here’s to hoping this winter never ends.

Only time I see it is when the comps are on. Always makes the wave look heaps smaller than the channel angle.

Finally a video with the best sound track ever.......thick lips hitting flat water at an almost 90 degree angle....... 'crisp cracking' .......there's no sound like it! Just wish they ran more raw sound like this more often in vid's !

Also agree - so refreshing not to have some crap music/song blaring away in the back ground...no need for it most of the time. Let the raw sounds be heard more often would be my vote...
