Anyone with half a brain, can understand that a ban often isn't necessarily about one incident unless it's an extreme incident that goes way over the line, it obviously takes in other aspects like previous patterns of behaviour.
If you go read the rules of conduct you might start to get it.
There is people here like yourself that clearly don't have much interest in having a proper discussion with anyone and are just here to niggle and agitate and stir up trouble, your always one incident away from a ban, because basically your a headache to moderators and bring nothing to the forum, plus your behaviour encourages others to act the same way causing threads to get chaotic.
VL unlike you is actually capable of discussion but often just approaches things in a very aggressive way and its pretty clear to most people that he is just stirring up conflict in that Covid thread, that if you have noticed only pops up now and then since both have had a temp ban.
Everyone has people they may not agree should receive bans, personally i feel for Hutchy he seemed to be banned more for posting in large volumes and views mods might not agree with rather than actually breaking any guidelines, but hey end of the day its their forum.

Im not the one whinging about who or who hasn't been banned, im just explaining the obvious.
It's obvious why i wasn't banned and why others havent been banned for similar things.
Clearly mods use some common sense and look at the bigger picture.
-Whats the persons posting history are they here to have a proper discussion or are they here just to cause chaos and stir others up and see how far things can be pushed???
-When a line is crossed, what was the situation? Were they just saying something dumb in the heat of the moment and regret it or was it un provoked and something they stand by???
I obviously snapped and said something dumb in the heat of the moment and deleted it soon after, ive had others like BD threaten to come around to my house and blah blah blah, i don't hold it against him. (i don't actually agree with BD on a lot of things but i don't actually mind him)
And you can see just today I've been threatened by Facto, like i really care.
Personally i think the 10 minute edit window is perfect, if you do say something in the heat of the moment, it gives you 10 minutes to rethink things or stand by your comment.
It's a forum open to the public, its irrelevant if I'm a subscriber or not, i don't subscribe as i just don't have a need too, I'm lucky enough to live 10-15 minutes walk from the beach, 5m on a bike or a minute in a car and pretty much take each day as it comes and fit waves around work and kids, i know whats roughly coming.
If it was my business though, id have a little badge next to the users profile name to show they are a subscriber.
