@B6 & @GuySmiley. Hi guys.
The board is made as a single fin. I’ve not ridden one since 1979, had a beautiful Watercooled ( Kym Thompson) one back in the day with a kiwi fruit coloured translucent fin. You ride them further up the board than normal. AW
Yes you do AW, had a 7’4” DVS singlefin for years and what I said earlier about changing the fin you change the board is sooooo true, after that experience I’m firmly of the view fins belong to the dark arts:)); it’s some trip you’ve enlisted yourself in, enjoyable as :))
embrace yr inner 14-year-old, AW. If you don't stick it in the bed with you, at least lean it against a wall of the bedroom for the first couple nights ; )

@GuySmiley @Basesix.
Well, maybe I’ll stand it up next to my bed for a few nights, drift off into AFL/VFL history mode and imagine that once HOT troop of ladies, the Carlton ‘Bluebirds’ prancing around my bedroom, and maybe, just maybe, something else might just stand up.
Its been quite awhile since a cottontail bunny hopped around my room, or was it a ‘White Rabbit’, I don’t know, forgot to feed my head. How gracious and slick my thought process is, if you know what I mean, AW

Lostdoggy. Hi mate, hope ya well on this fine day.
Not wrong, I’m edgy , can’t wait for normal business to resume here on the SC if and when we get swell.
If that little girl ( La Niña) who has just started lingering around our hood ) would just piss off. AW
I’m expecting you to be sitting out the furthest on your lonesome at Bells, waiting for the wide ones that come every half hour.
^ haha, Tim Winton:
grom : "what's that guy doing way over there?"
seadog: "That's A-dub. He sits wide since the bluebird"
Seadog paddled off with a distracted air.
But I knew he had other things on his mind.

Basesix. Your intuition is credible.
I do sit the furthest out most times.
I’m a very polite surfer, not interested in competing for waves, that’s not part of my realm.
There’s enough to go around, if you’re patient. AW
The 7’0 scoop at $650 was a steal and a half for whoever the lucky punter was.

My forebears as you know were all boat builders, fishermen and surfers. You’ve just poked me with a name I know and my grandfather in Queenscliff use to talk about Jack Pompei , couta boats, my GF had a few in his time. AW
AW - interesting bit of phillip island marine history currently sitting at the nth end of adelaide's mid-coast.. antique 'buoyancy 4 person' life-raft.. can't think what you'd possibly use it for, haha.. a bamboo-shoot and succulent market tray, you can lower into a ute, and suspend from a tree when not using?

Basesix. Hi, how’s things?
Strange item for auction, probably made from wood that’s very buoyant. Highly lignified cell walls.
Get on to Seeds, he gets wood easy , his even well lignified from a previous self admission
No wonder he wants to move to the much quieter serene part of his lower estate, all that wood. AW
Hahaha
(basesix, I got the package. Cheers mate)
Very nice Dave Parmenter widow maker.

That Parmenter looks so good.
if you want a cheaper option, there's a $100 6'6" Mark Richards twin+ in Iluka on eBay, shaped during MR's brief 'asym nose' period.

Udo. Hi mate, hope you’re well.
Question, I was considering buying this board, my mate is in the surf business and he asked me whether this board would’ve been made here or overseas as it was so cheap.
Can you shed any light on this , thanks. AW

Edit: No Free flight Channel Bottoms showing on Sideways Site ATM. . .?
Udo. Thanks mate. Appreciate your effort. Yep, definitely none on Sideways.
Bummer , probably was legit. I looked at it for ages.
Procrastination gets you nowhere, a thiefs golden rule. AW
If you're asking $5k surely you can find out a bit of info on the board for potential buyers.
I found this in a quick google search. Maybe Daryl could tell him who shaped it and who glassed it?
"Gold Coast surfer Daryl Barnett, who knew Peterson, oversaw the production of replica Peterson boards in the mid 2000s, and got Peterson to sign them. “I’d slip him a lazy hundred bucks so it didn’t affect his pension,” Barnett says. There were 149 replicas made from 2005 to 2009, selling for $1200-$1500. “They’re worth five or six grand now,” Barnett says."

Wow, 4 1/4"!! Must all be in the chest area because it looks beautifully pulled in through the front and back. What a beauty!
Al Merrick once said..” No…we don’t want to go back there”.
Price firm.
Good luck Josh, you’ll need it.
