FWIW, I copped a couple of days worth of grief from my wife for not sharing her unbounded optimism about Biden’s victory. For pointing out the high likelihood of ‘business as usual’ US Govt, Biden’s foreign policy fuckups as VP, and the limits of his ability to meaningfully change anything for the better.

When he was first nominated to run for President I read an article (sorry can't remember where) that suggested the the full-on hawks and neo-cons thought that a Biden presidency would be a good thing, because he would militarily intervene in Iran (Trump, contrarily, being non-interventionist).

There has been incidents of protestors/rioters getting hit by cars, which isn't really a surprise when mobs of people are running around crazy on the streets, streets are for cars and people still need to get from A to B.
The main incident in the media was a women who's car was mobbed by protestors and when tried to get away ran some over, she was charged even though it was not her fault.
Could happen to anyone in that circumstance, imagine how scary it would be if you were surrounded by these mobs, you would be scared shit less and just want to get away.
