The storm track is crucial for South Arm's surf prospects, and initially it will deviate up through the Bight, which not great for southern Tasmanian surf production.

We’ll see a mostly offshore flow develop this week as a large high drifts below the state and sets up a ridge, with an inland trough staying semi-stationary for most of the week. The storm track is below seasonal strength with the long wave trough not ideally positioned for large swells.
Surf is now declining back to tiny levels with just minor levels of background swell expected from tradewinds in the South Pacific- around a foot at the most exposed Burnett breaks, tiny elsewhere.

The weekend will become small and slow, with some new, inconsistent NE swell due next week.
