Fun W/SW groundswell with favourable winds
South Australian Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 20th November)
Best Days: Wednesday both coasts (afternoon for the Mid), Thursday morning both coasts
Recap
Workable but lumpy leftover surf in the 2ft range off Middleton Saturday, cleaner Sunday but only small with slightly better winds.
The Mid Coast was flat all weekend with no surf at all.
Today the surf's smaller again leaving tiny clean waves across the South Coast, only surfable at Waits and Parsons with flat surf continuing across the Mid Coast.

This weekend and next week (Nov 21 - 26)
The surf will remain tiny to flat through tomorrow, though later in the day we might see the first hints of new W/SW groundswell.
This swell was generated by an initial fetch W/SW gales at the head of a stalling low, south-west of WA over the weekend.
No major size is due off this initial pulse, with some tiny lines possible on dark across the Mid, coming in at inconsistent 1-1.5ft Wednesday morning.
Middleton is only due to see inconsistent 2ft sets through the morning, ahead of some better energy into the afternoon.
This was produced by a secondary fetch of W/SW gales wrapping around the back of the low, on top an active sea state.
We should see this swell kicking mid-late afternoon, with the Mid Coast reaching 2ft on the sets, while Middleton should climb to 3ft, though with a bit of a wait for the sets.
A peak is still expected overnight, with the swell easing from 2ft on the sets across the Mid Coast Thursday morning and 3ft off Middleton.
Winds look great for both coasts Wednesday with a N/NE tending variable breeze down South and similar winds on the Mid Coast (if not tending a little more N'th before variable). Thursday looks a little funky as surface trough moving in from the west interferes with us, but morning N/NE winds should be seen across both coasts, tending onshore through the afternoon.
We'll then likely see S/SE winds through Friday with a building S/SE windswell down South from the trough, easing into the weekend as the trough weakens. The Mid Coast will see the W/SW swell fading from a tiny 1ft, flat into the weekend.
Longer term we may see some new SW groundswell into early next week, but we'll have a closer look at this Wednesday.

Good to see the new W/SW swell showing..
Do you think it will be big enough for pondies ? Cheers.
Yes.
