Looks like some good waves ahead for Victorian surfers.

What I like most about this swell event is that the system responsible for it weakens only slowly through its passage under the continent, which means the backside of the peak - on Friday - will ease only slowly in size.
Onshore winds with a building mix of swells tomorrow, easing Sunday and remaining onshore. Cleaner and smaller Monday morning, with a good new swell later in the day, easing Tuesday. Strong W/SW groundswell later week but with average winds.
Easing W/SW groundswell tomorrow with good winds for beaches on both coasts, smaller Friday with an early offshore for the Surf Coast. Onshore winds all weekend with some new swell, workable Sunday. Fun swells all next week with favourable winds.
Building and strengthening mid-period W/SW swell tomorrow with westerly winds, large W/SW groundswell peaking Wednesday with favourable winds for the Surf Coast. Easing Thursday under northerly offshores, average weekend.
I’m really impressed with the way the models are tracking this system through the Southern Ocean - it reaches maturity in an ideal part of the swell window (south of WA) but also has most of its initial stages at a reasonably low latitude (50S or lower) which means it’ll spend a lot of time within our swell window.
Easing SW swell over the coming days with S/SE winds tomorrow and a N/NE'ly on Friday. Slow and small Saturday with a freshening N'ly and then similar Sunday ahead of an onshore change. Better swell mid-next week.
Mid-period W/SW swell for dawn tomorrow, with a stronger SW swell building through the morning. Not the best winds, likely W/NW-W around Torquay. Easing and cleaner Wednesday morning, then onshore Thursday. Small clean leftovers across magnets Friday morning. Average weekend.
New W/SW swell tomorrow with easing onshore winds, likely W'ly early around Torquay. Easing surf with good winds for the beaches Sunday morning. Strong new W/SW swell building later Monday, peaking Tuesday morning, with a follow up S/SW swell Wednesday morning.
New W/SW-SW groundswell for tomorrow with offshore NW winds, easing Friday with good winds for the Torquay region during the morning. Fun W/SW swells all weekend, but average Saturday and best on the beaches Sunday. Large new W/SW swell developing for next week.
