My theory is when any narrative is pushed too hard, even if true or, partially so, it creates a push back.
Media has become too activist on a number of topics and by excluding any rational discussion of countering views or complexities that make issues not so black and white this magnifies resistance and pushback.
They think they are heroically acting as the key to countering misinformation and saving the world on whatever issue is in play but are actually fertilising resistance and scepticism.

My understanding is the protestors congregated on the shrine or remembrance and police then tried to rid them when they didnt move on they were hit with tear gas and rubber bullets.

Basically protestors are at shrine police/.riot squad surround them.
Few No violence chants, singing advance Australia fair, women with microphone saying don't want violence and telling people to make sure they pick up and put any rubbish in bins (its all bagged up next to bins)
Protestor had one minute of silence.
Protesters and police try to negotiate.
Police want protestor's to dispense in small groups and going in different direction's , protestors happy to move on but want to stay together and move back through the centre the way they came.
But then seems they are at a stalemate, so police push further in and in, police try to take a few away by force, then they start shooting at the crowd to get them moving and crowd starts running and police kee[p shooting at them .
