I have rarely commented on anything on this forum till this thread, some people like VL and toad are just forum junkies and had already made a name for themselves on here according to some comments, Sok is just a Mexican who doesn’t surf and only comes on here to stick up for dictator Dan from his cave.

Apologies if i'm mistaken.
You just said it was non violent except for the police, so according to you the protest was peaceful except for police. :)
Would really appreciate a link to any violence from protesters @roadkill

Robo, just stop making up absolute crap fool. I've been very critical of the cooked idiots who set alight Old Parliament House twice.
The tent embassy people are furious at those sov cit clowns.
You and your cooked fellow travellers at the Canberra protests aren't getting their way because their demands are just flat out nuts. Immediate removal of all sitting MPs? Oh please.
Normal protestors know if they break the law, don't obey police instructions, or hit cops you get arrested. There's so many anti-vax cooked fuckwits who think they can do anything they want if they read out some idiotic legal opinion or say, "I do not consent" while being arrested.
Like that matters.
So you admit there was normal people at the protests? Dumb question to ask you cause anyone one with half a brain would be more normal than you.

Also @roadkill, any thoughts on why the Police chief might resign in the middle of all this??

Nope, none.
ha. Just saw your last message. Yep, proven. Over 100 people arrested with force as well, purely for standing their ground. No reports of any of them fighting back with any form of violence, but again, if there's evidence of this, my error. Just haven't heard of it.
I'm just sticking to the facts as they're presented to us Roadkill. Nothing personal in it.
No worries @roadkill. That was a bit of a dud conversation then wasn't it! haha.

Why is he speaking about vaccines? What are his medical qualifications?Listening to the Canadian minister of foreign affairs mumble, bumble and stumble a response trying to justify Justin's totalitarianism was cringe worthy!
When the guy from Bangladesh questioned the panel about vaccine availability and basically said if the patent/technology was released they had the capability to manufacture.Instead no supply so had to buy chinese vax.The response from the Swedish minister was interesting when she stated that the vaccines would not be developed as quickly as there wasn't the incentive!incentive obviously meaning financial, what about the incentive of saving human lives?
Comfort Ero and Hadley Gamble were impressive.
It was a very interesting conference troppo and I was also surprised at Gates response for the next pandemic , basically if the world just does as Australia did then we are all good . I think Comfort Ero made Bill Gates a bit uncomfortable. Here’s the link again for anyone interested, a wide range of current covid topics were covered . I'm not really keeping up with what's happening in Canada, but essentially was there a ultimatum given to the protestors to move on or be moved?
That seems pretty standard practice to me? You can't let an occupy movement which represents a portion of society take over and hinder other peoples freedoms?
If people are refusing to move on, then I'm sure police will do their best. It'd be a shit job, as generally people deciding not to move would either be looking for martyrdom, looking for a fight, or just generally being floppy, difficult wankers.
Happens all the time. Just now we have millions of phone cameras and competing agendas with people ready to snip certain scenes out of context them share them globally via Twitter to build on a message.

Those cops don’t want to be there, that is obvious. They are doing their job and the protestors are just using them for clickbait. Protestors were advised to move on and ultimately the cops were forced to forcefully move them on. Lot’s of hysterics and screaming for the cameras from the crowd.

I'm surprised with how soft they've been with the protest / blockade. The main road trade route into the US has been blocked for 2 weeks or something. Factories for Ford, Toyota, Jeep, General Motors, Ram have all had to stop production because of supply issues. The protesters are probably lucky the US didn't send the military in to clear it. Under Australian law what they're doing could be interpreted as terrorism.
https://www.newsweek.com/toyota-restarts-production-6-plants-after-truck...
Geez, how is the carryon re police "violence" in Ottawa.
The cops did nothing for 3 weeks despite plenty of pressure from normal people in Ottawa fed up with the scum.
The cops then gave the scum a couple of days notice, followed by repeat warnings to move on. The protestors didn't listen to the police orders, didn't go quietly and then sooked when the cops moved them on with very little force.
Some idiot stood in front of a bunch of police horses and got trampled.
What the fuck did these idiots expect? Did they seriously think the cops would say "oops sorry, carry on with your siege which has made the downtown area a no go zone"?
I've been at a few protests where the coppers remove their badges and start swinging batons without warning. Those mounties have done the least violent protest break up I've seen, but that hasn't stopped the whinging.
Ok angry ant thanks for the info

I saw the Wellington protest mentioned a bit. Went there myself last week to check it out. Pretty much all about the mandates and at least half the people there cos they'd lost their jobs. Really peaceful too. Don't know how it's going to end if Jacinda's not even going to engage. Around 30% of the population are now in support and its actually gaining traction

Saw one Trump flag in the first one there Supa ;)
So, what are we now, 2 years into the pandemic, around 15 months since vaccines and maybe a year or so since mandates.
Anyone notice how there is no one resolved and reasonable voice from this mob?
Some 'leaders' have come and gone, a few of the bottom of the barrel pollies have tried to rangle the group, but even they have been cast aside for not endorsing all of the extreme demands.
The protests seemingly call for freedom and an end to vaccine mandates and probably the loudest demands among the noise. Yet, the protests are strongest in the world's more stable democracies?
Surely if there is such mass, so many people awake and ready to stand up for what's right, good, strong leaders would rise to the top and lead a successful political party which met the protestors demands. That's how real democracy works right?
But there's been none of substance.
It's fucking telling, very telling.
It shows firstly - the mob is effectively a herd of sheep, with nothing to even offer any serious political groups who want to swoop in and capture a voter base. Yes the right is pandering to the mob, but they're not giving them everything they want. The right is just strategically pushing the left in front of the bus, everytime the left calls for a measured or proactive response to covid, even though the right would probably do the same thing.
Secondly, it shows the mob not attracting good leaders. Smart, creative, critical thinking and expressive leaders with intelligence and foresight. Now, you could be blunt and say the mob generally doesn't include many high performing individuals, but, that's too broad brush. More specifically, even the potential good leaders within the group only ever make it to their top of their little sub sector of the mob, they never then have the ability to gather the other groups and leaders to try and make it pull in one direction.
So there's no leader, but several voices of encouragement (I.e. the likes of Tucker Carlson), and probably a host of strategic Twitter bots and various bodies bankrolling these protests. how much longer will it last? Leaders of the world aren't caving to the pressure of this group (rightly so), when will the protestors realise that at some point, they all need to stop yelling at the same time, and find someone to speak properly on their behalf?
My guess is it will go on for about another 6 months to a years, as we exit the pandemic.
SF, that bottom video when the cops thrown down their shields, was from Russia in 2014. Has nothing to do with covid, it was a pro Russia thing.
But hey, you question everything with an enquiring mind, except of course if it suits your bias.
It takes about 10 seconds on google to clarify this bs as you posted.

If the Prime Minister invoking a law and then all parties getting to openly debate that decision in Parliament before voting on it less than six months after a free and transparent federal election feels like tyranny to you, I hope you know how lucky that makes you.
Israel is such an interesting case given its vaccine activities and now Israel opens borders to unvaccinated tourists from all countries (see also here).

None…pax must present vaccine proof on arrival.
Qantas for one wont allow you to Board if Unvaxxed .
@roadkill, i asked yesterday if you had any thoughts on why the Chief of Police in Ottawa might resign in the middle of the civil protests.
You refused to answer, well, you said, 'Nope, none" but instead continued to belittle and insult, even though not a single slur or insult was made towards you in the conversation.
You stated above you're basically here to shit stir people spreading mis information. But you refuse to answer to something based on fact.
Are we gonna get the old 'i don't answer you because you don't answer me' routine that you pull out whenever anyone tries to ask you a reasonable balanced question. Care to actually enter the conversation in a well balanced way without slinging insults?? Still would like your opinion on why the Police chief would resign in the most critical part of his time as the head of Police.
udo wrote:Which Airlines are carrying unjabbed ?
How did Novax Jokervic get into Australia if unvaccinated?
It seems that you can fly unvaccinated on Etihad and Emirates?
For example in this article is says:
"Emirates has not mandated that passengers be vaccinated in order to fly with them."
And this article says:
"You don’t have to be fully vaccinated or be tested to fly on Emirates."
And it seems that Etihad only mentions PCR test requirements and not vaccination requirements?
I've created a spreadsheet forecast which I'll update as we go..
