Qantas made the decision to only allow fully vaccinated ( 2 doses ) unless you had an exemption before governments had mentioned it . So Qantas can decide if , unless “you’re up to date “ you can’t board the flight. What other countries require doesn’t really count, it’s what Alan Joyce decides. I’m guessing the government doesn’t want to be seen as making it mandatory and will simply let business be the bad guys.

Alan Joyce is another government puppet.

That’s what happens when you’re stomach is full of government funding

So with ATAGI changing what fully vaccinated means to “ up to date “ does this mean you can only get on a international flight leaving Australia if you’re “ up to date “ and what else will we be banned from or entering unless we are “ up to date “ ?

Probably.

so you think its ok for tourists coming in only need 2 whacks but Aussies need 3 to leave?

Aussies leaving require the amount of shots required to enter any country. That is the decision of the destination.

please answer the question

Nine News:

"Mr Hunt said the Australian government has secured more than 151 million booster doses – enough for nearly six injections for every man, woman and child in the country – for “delivery over the coming year and is well placed to continue to achieve world leading vaccination rates against Covid-19”.

Sounds like that is BOOSTERS only.

When is enough, enough?

Regarding the tourist thing - it's been left upto the states to decide. My guess is that it will be based on things like - well, we need people to pick fruit etc. so "up to date" might be 2 jabs of something "approved" whereas say a tourist travelling on holiday might be required to have had a jab in the last 6 months - that can be enforced by each state (well, the businesses mostly in each state) using their QR code thing. The thing is, most tourists will comply if they really want to come all this way - there are other countries to visit in the meantime.

I reckon this change in terminology by ATAGI is the beginning of the end.

The change makes it more inline with other vaccinations.

It's a sign covid will begin to be treated more endemic, and less of a novel threat.

No national mandating of third shot. Some states may do it, but can't see it sticking around much longer relatively (think months, not years).

Check in and vaccination certificates now needing a complete refresh to be updated to suit the terminology.

Well, our political class enacted draconian authoritarianism whilst playing to a vocal fringe group of bed wetters who demanded that healthy young people need coerced into being injected with a vaccine which serves them no statistically significant improvement in health outcomes against covid and does nothing to stem the spread of the virus.

Then he banned honking horns in support of truckers, so the cops are out arresting granpas for honking horns.

Now Ottawa cops are just calling in sick, taking leave or simply quitting the force for good.

When the covoy rolled into town, Trudeau ran and hid after a sudden covid exposure .

When taken to task in parliament, booed and heckled, he walked out and ran and hid again.

GOFUNDME rebranded itself GOFUCKME and relegated itself to the scrap heap of history after trying to confiscate truckers support donations.

Meanwhile, the UK will ditch the whole covid shit show next month and the rest of the world will follow or be left looking like complete dick wads / stok & Co.

Yes mate. It was a beautiful thing to watch.
People are coming together. It seemed that love was the overwhelming feeling amongst all the various people from every walk of life.

There was no stereotypical person. Just everyone from everywhere making a stand and saying enough. It has to end. We want our freedom back. They are standing up for exactly the same things we've lost here.

The trucks are the nuts and bolts of the movement. With them taking up the city streets, the city stops. It allows the people to come out and make a stand. When Melbourne protested, they had to go home after each Saturday. That's not happening in Ottawa.

There's an absolute distrust of media for their blatant lying in the reporting of the event. And there's a true contempt for Trudeau.

Honestly folks, if you people still chirping on about needing to get more boosters...jabs being a neccessity...you're either working for the government, or you have serious mental illness and delusions. The time is up to let it go.

It's going to get harder and harder to avoid seeing the truth for what it is. We've been lied to all along. The governments are all back pedalling (have a look at how Austria dropped all restrictions as soon as the constitutional court asked questions), and yes, West Australia looks like the last place on planet earth that is going to let go of it's undying love of the covid narrative. Fuks sake!! haha

This change in terminology and now the vaccine status being considered up to date after a booster is possibly a political masterstroke by scomo. He's saying the federal LNP won't mandate boosters but the states still can.

He's now dangling the vaccine booster mandate carrot right in front of the dictator Labor states.

I think one of the biggest impediments to the federal Labor party's campaign is the Labor states buckling to this temptation and mandating boosters.

I think the federal Labor party will need to get some control over the dictator states on this one and keep them reigned in.

@Burlsa I already had my booster weeks ago. It was like running a small errand. Now there's less chance of me being a burden on the healthcare system, or, less chance of making life harder for my family (as I've heard plenty of accounts from people my age that had Omicron, of it making them bedridden for a numbers of days - not ideal when you have little ones who just spend all day tearing around the house/park/beach).

@shortensim:
Option 1 - get vaccinated, takes fuck all time and is recommended by experts worldwide.
Option 2 - join a cultish group of cooked units, try to overthrow one of the most stable democracies in the world and follow the belief that big pharma and the gov are trying to control you.

Which one sounds more riddled with fear?

You're kidding right? A small errand that plays right into the hands of your horrible Dictator Dan.

You were never going to be a burden on the health care system, you eat well and are not old.

If you were over 60, then sure i understand your fear. I went to my dads house the other day and they had ABC news on all day, then he jumps on his ipad to check news.com.au. He's completely brainwashed and addicted to the fear.

He also has heart disease and was eating bacon & eggs at the same time as watching this shit. Not once did the news mention a healthy lifestyle that i heard.

What i realised is he is the everyday Aussie, this is what they fucking do. It's a cult and by you saying that you could be a burden on the system encourages this shit behaviour.

Yeah, Omicron might put you in bed fort a couple of days and from what i can see it doesn't matter if you're jabbed or not.

You're living in a MSM fear bubble. You would rather submit to the jab out of fear than being in bed for 2 days than saying enough is enough and finally standing up to the bullies in government.

Stok, whether you are a conspiracy theorist or not, it’s hard not to be a little bit sceptical about the TGA’s decision to approve Paxlovid based on a single study that is not peer reviewed nor even published.
Yet at the same time many other early treatments exist yet are either recommended against or for clinical trials only despite many, many peer reviewed trials and in some cases quite good evidence.

Just that alone has me pondering that more might be going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about.

Off you go again with fear, yet you're the one claiming we have a dictator(s) in Australia.

I really don't see the issue with it, you're treating getting an injection as if it's some sort of ceremonial punishment. For me it was an errand.

I also don't agree with your guess that having a vax won't help reduce the severity of your experience with covid, but I guess that depends who you listen to - medical experts and scientists who've studied in the field and know what they're talking about, or social media opportunists (such as your mate the Primod) who has no idea what the fuck they're talking about but know how to stoke up anger/fear in the cooked mob that follow them.

@shortenism

Drug problem? Yeah righto. You clearly don't understand the scale of covid, the cost to society of days of work/hospitalisations/deaths. Of course for me personally the risk is low, but there is still a risk. Problem is, if everyone approaches this with a self centred 'me, me, me!' approach, then that very low risk will still represent a high enough number to do some unnecessary damage to our healthcare system.

Simple stuff to understand really, unless you're sucked down rabbit holes of fear and disillusionment.

@tyler

As I've said on this page before, take it up with the Advisory Committee on Medicines. They're an apparently independent body, with members names and qualifications/experience included. There's too many eyes on this, too much experience in the room, and too free of a press for their to be significant corruption of that nature in Australia.

Again, it's in the language. Where's the threat? Why does ABC choose to use the word 'threat' for a legal, peaceful protest??

"People have been gathering in the ACT for a fortnight to protest various grievances, in particular their opposition to mandatory vaccination policies.
Demonstrators suggested protesting at the "Superhero Saturday" event at the vaccination clinic at the Australian Institute of Sport.
The plan was discussed at their main camping ground at Exhibition Park in Canberra's north, and shared on social media.
ACT Policing's Commander of Operations, Linda Champion, said police were aware of the threat and monitoring the demonstrators.
"We don't anticipate anything unlawful going on, but we [will be] there in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety of all parents and children turning up to the clinic," she said."
The language, the messaging, the fear mongering to the average joe citizen watching or reading their little bite sized chunk of news for the day.

And my other friend who's mum is going to canberra, she posted a video of her mum actually having the convulsions. Not made up. Why would you anyway. Yep. It's poison. Just because it didn't happen to you (and i'm glad it didn't, i sincerely mean that) doesn't mean it's not happening to many others. My dad's missus got fucked over from it too. She's still unwell......and there's plenty of others i know of.

Really heavy BD, so fucked that Drs will basically not commit to saying its a jab injury in fear they will be audited ty ATAGI, yet anyone with a recent covid positive test automatically categorised as a covid death.

Ive covered it before but my Uncle & MIL both had strokes after AZ (within 2 weeks) and NO doctor would write them an exemption from the next jab. Only told to take fizzer instead.

How was your friend who had the stroke? Is she better yet?

Still completly fucked Stok. She hasn't been able to return to work. Missed the birth of her niece last week because too sick to leave her parents care. She's been in and out of the doctors. It needs to happen to those demanding others be injected against their will.

Sad but true.

You don’t wish harm on anyone but these people are inflicting suffering on others and it needs to stop. Now.

I wish these stories were in the main stream news; they are real.

My thoughts and best wishes are with your friends.
