At least the Minneapolis Mayor and Chief of Police acted immediately and sacked all four cops and set up a murder investigation. Swift action this time.
Same as the woman filmed calling the cops on a black guy she said was threatening her life in Central Park when he was a birdwatcher who asked her to leash her dog in the bird watching area, she was standing next to a sign saying 'leash your dog'. That is so fucked, if that guy really is dead they should all be locked up for life and the one that killed him never released and not be separated from any other inmates either, I'm sure he would live a life of hell.

Even if he is not dead that one cop should still get life for attempted murder, and the others serious jail time for not stopping that from happening.

If he is dead it's downright murder and attempted murder if not, once those cuffs are on there should be zero need to physically hold him down.

IMHO this is far far worse than if a cop shots someone, a shooting incident is often a split second decision, this goes on for minutes and there is also other cops not stopping it from happening.

Without living and breathing USA hard to know if race based, that Cops TV show they seem to treat anyone White, Black, Latino just as bad, but that said i don't blame black people over in USA if they rioted in the streets or got payback.

Ive watched countless episodes of that USA show Cops and the shit those cops do is crazy, they do similar stuff everyday in the way he is restraining him and super brutal and half of them are white guys they are dealing with fully just push their face's into the concrete etc.

Not saying these cops aren't fucked up racist cops or its not race based, but i just dont think you can jump to conclusions only people that really know are those cops, if it was a white guy or latino would you assume the same? (or would you say the same if they or one or two were black cops?)

But all that said, i dont blame black people in USA seeing this as race based and this will surely make things worse in USA.

And this will also make it worst for actually decent cops of any colour dealing with black people who are going to be angry at police and make their job harder.

Cops in the US are gnarly in general , I was at a lakeside campground in California one time and a couple of groups of kids were fighting each other (same as kids in a campground or caravan park anywhere really) someone called the cops and reported seeing a gun apparently , next thing cops arrive, guns out and pointing and everyone (myself included ) are pushed up against cars with hands on our heads getting pushed and roughed up "WHAT HAVE YOU GOT IN YOUR POCKETS? not understanding Straylen when I answered "my wallet" "WHATS HE GOT!!!?I got half nelsoned and searched pretty roughly , no guns no nothing (lucky for us) and this was a bunch of all whiteys and pretty much a family group (dads,mums teenagers, dorks mostly) so not like a big group of guys or anything of any kind of threat. I reckon policing there would be a cunt of a job, lots psychos in America and cops like anywhere are usually dumb fuckers , bad combo.

It was a Minneapolis cop that shot & killed the West Aus woman a few years ago. She called them to her place in an affluent neighbourhood.

They are trained to kill and to be constantly scared. Watch the vid West of Lakes posted about their training. It's a fucked up culture of fear over there.

Saying that, kneeling on someone's neck for however long is premeditated, that aint no split second accident by a jumpy officer.

I challenge you to challenge my points, debunk them, let's have a proper debate without insults, people say you are smart for some reason, if you are it should be easy to prove me wrong.

Prove it's based on race? (Knowing what we only know to this point, a video and little other information)

Reality is it could be race based, but it might not be, but we just dont know without knowing much more, to say it is is making assumptions.

We need to know other aspects about these police, we need to know the whole story, do they have a history of racist behaviour?, do they have a history of similar bad conduct? If so is it aimed at just blacks or do they have a history of abuse to whites latinos, asians etc

And then we need to look at each cop separately.

Put all your political and social bias aside and look at things in the manner say a judge would, that's the sensible mature approach

BTW. im not down playing this, im sure like others watching that video, i felt like just smashing that cop and ripping him off that guy, and no matter what, they should all end up in jail, the one with his knee on the guy should be locked up for a very very long time, the others for a decent period for allowing it to happen, and fuck if i was there i would have been pelting those cops cars with rocks etc as hard as anyone else in that video. (alone id be too gutless, but in a pack type scenario with the support of others and adrenaline and anger im certain i would)

As i said you could easily make a meme to go the other way, possibly even with the same people.

For instance before the shots the black guys might have been standing up cuffed or up against the car, before a struggle onto the ground, the white guys for all we know could have been on the ground with a leg in their neck before, they were cuffed and taken away and in the shots had calmed down.

Although unlikely because they are totally different type incidents.

One seems to be a close range type interactions could have had a chase and struggle, the others would have been stand off type events where police were more strategic.

Noting that with the white guys incidents there most likely would have been a number of police units dealing with the incident and even possible media.

That said the scary thing about this incident is 4 police involved and they dont seem to be worried about being recorded. WTF?

Yeah it would be nice is someone could back me up on this, to do so wouldn't mean you accept this behaviour and it doesn't mean you don't acknowledge all the racial issues in the past and past mistreatment of African Americans, its just about not jumping to assumptions.

Speaking of media. Government cut funding to ABC for Radio Australia and now there is no Australian radio in the region but the available band width was taken up by China. Fijis only source of foreign news media is now China.

To put Australia back in the game the government has decided to give a 17 million dollar grant to commercial television, essentially paying the TV stations for their content so that any media outlet in the Pacific region can use that content free of charge. This way Australia can once again have a media presence in the region.

The content we the tax payers are supplying to promote our nation? MasterChef, The Voice, Border Patrol etc. Meanwhile China supplies the news, and other programs from Chinas media outlets. Soft diplomacy or what.
