OMFG how naive are you.
As long as Hamas is still in power both are screwed, your X will always have to live in fear and people like this lady will be screwed by her own government and then used as a human shield.
You and others are just Hamas pawns.
And like others have said, every single death is on Hamas.

And yet some here hold Israel up as bastions of western democracy.

@Number 3 Hamas supporter in the ranks.
Israel's democracy is not perfect, but its 1,000 times better than Gaza where they have only ever had one election in 2006 and then when Hamas was voted in they went and murdered some of the opposing political party in Fatah.
haha. Mental
I'll run with Alana A and Basesix on this one i think.
Nuffin ever changes, and what could be a progressive thinking thread with ideas, knowledge and compassion turns into the lowshow. The no info kind.

@ Roadkill Think back, way back, when some people were given statehood, in the middle of and on top of modern peoples of that land and try and think how it could all be so different now, if those given statehood, were benevolent.
Indo can count! Can’t collate. No way I’m 3.
ps. Any comments about the own goals?

Would you prefer Hamas democracy over Israeli democracy?
Ignore everything I said but..
Neither. They need to chill fuck out and negotiate. Hamas ain’t going away. How did the troubles in Northern Ireland end? Gotta negotiate with those pesky terrorists you’ve created. In the end it’s the only way.

Negotiate FFS dude in 2005 Israel literally handed over the whole of Gaza to Palestine in a peace deal and agreed to provide water and energy until they got self sufficient.
Not even a year latter Hamas sent rockets into Israel.
Israel got burnt big time.

Right, negotiate with crazies that whole reason for being is to kill every Jew.
That would work.

There is absolutely nothing in Gaza they would prefer than in Israel, every single thing goes against their ideology to the extreme, even as a conservative evretythiung goes against my ideals, as a progressive lefty the gap is even bigger.
Gaza is a full on Islamic conservative state, for perspective alcohol and homosexuality are illegal in Gaza and enforced.
The most progressive thing ive ever heard of in Gaza is this
"Gaza law barring women from travel without male consent to be revised, judge says"
https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN2AG21X/
Meanwhile over in Israel, there is bars with alcohol, a music scene, even international bands tour, nightclubs, there is a LGBTQI community, and even has the most progressive women rights in the middle east.
Israel is easily the most progressive country in the middle east.
Oh and i fogot.
"On April 20, 2018, Israeli pharmacies were legally permitted to begin selling cannabis oil under a pilot program. As of April 1, 2019, Israel decriminalized the use of cannabis for citizens over the age of 18 when used in private. Possession of a home-grown marijuana plant and buds are no longer a punishable offence."

Do you believe that Hamas would negotiate in good faith? Do they want peace now?
Roadkill Israel doesn’t negotiate in good faith. Never have. Stop believing the narrative. These cries about Hamas saying from The River To Sea. Yeah sure they say it. But it’s Israel enacting it. Under the cover of US and the West’s media

Too hard a question? Such a simple question but it causes you to run away.
Ok, see you, have a great night.
Simple. Projection much and inability to comprehend

This is why i put you at number three because while you kind of take a back seat compared to Jelly and Soggy and dont say as much when you do its clear you are quite literally brain washed by radical islamic propaganda it's unbelievable.
seeds wrote:Simple. Projection much and inability to comprehend
You’re making excuses now and trying to avoid answering.
Do you think Hamas would negotiate in good faith?
If the terms were right. That’s negotiation for ya!
Why won’t you acknowledge the despicable conduct of the Zionists since they were gifted a land and statehood?
none there, either side, would negotiate in good faith @Roadkill, it would be tense diplomacy at best, it has been a fucked up part of the planet forever. Literally forever in our terms.. crossroads of the three ancient human-inhabited worlds.
You can't get rid of Hamas, a third of Gazans voted for them. Even if you wiped them all off the map, which seems to be the action plan, you can't kill an idea, as we have seen in the last few decades of US war efforts.
What is happening now, is ensuring either Israel runs Gaza for the foreseeable future (which even the US won't support) or generations of Palestinians weep 'Lest We Forget' while begrudgingly negotiating for the next 100 years with Israel and friends. It's fucked. All we can do is try to hold people accountable for their humanity from afar, and question their end game.
The people on this site, that are being called baddie-sympathisers, are simply casting their mind forward, seeing absolutely no conclusion, and watching people suffer, and despairing in it. Any Ra Ra bullshit from either side rings hollow and foul.
Who will pay for the rebuild, and what will they be rebuilding? Gaza 2.0? Israel-lite? An @indo beerhall, brothel and disco, so the west can show them the way to enlightenment?

Basesix. Hi mate. I’ve said it before, I really enjoy it, you are such a great wordsmith.
I know and can tell you’ve read and still read a lot of books.
‘ An Indo beer hall, , brothel and disco so the west can show them the way to enlightenment, that sounds like “ Jukebox In Siberia ‘

cheers AW, did you receive the 'hare' book? (probably not ideal reading for you atm)
How's the recuperation? Sounds like you're almost your active self again.. that's GREAT news!
I shouldn’t have to answer that Syp. My view and opinion is of the history and the outcomes now. Way before Hamas

My fucked left thumb ( circular saw and I met at the OK Corral, both drew our weapons , I was on the floor before you knew it, that was back in June, what a Winter I missed ) First injury at work in 41 years as a tradie, so embarrassed, always prided myself on care and safety, it’s not worth buying cheap $10 reading glasses, gives false perspective Kimmy, Kimmy, it’s almost 100% and the last meteor like chunks of COVID have departed my galaxy today. ‘Protocol on prohibitions or restrictions on the use of incendiary weapons :
Protocol III Article 2
Protection of civilians and civilian objects.
1. It is prohibited in all circumstances to make the civilian population as such, individual civilians or civilian objects the object of attack by incendiary weapons.

Seeds. Angophora hispida. Older than Eucalyptus phylogenetically.
In those photos. Angophora always has opposite leaves, no operculum ( gum nut cap, lid), those ribbed woody fruits also diagnostic, see the little protuberances around the top of the fruits.
Eucalyptus have opposite leaves at ‘birth’ but then develop alternate leaves and a single operculum ( gum nut cap or lid) and Corymbias ( the bloodwoods), can have a double operculum shedding the lid twice.
It doesn’t take long to learn to distinguish the difference between them. I’m baked, continue this chat tomorrow evening. Always good fun AW.

Hey Jf. How’s things , loving your relentless dialogue, alas I think your suggestion of ‘intermission’ is a great idea, time to pause, load the howitzers, step another metre forward toward Phillip Island and let a few rounds off and see what retaliation comes ya way. Boom. AW
