With favourably light winds it’ll be well worth capitalising on a great day of surf for Australia Day.
With favourably light winds it’ll be well worth capitalising on a great day of surf for Australia Day.
Tiny waves tomorrow with a lingering onshore, fading Wednesday with strengthening NE winds. Poor through the weekend.
Groundswell of TC Victor will gradually fade, with one final undersized pulse due on Thursday across open beaches. A northeasterly windswell is due to build strongly late in the week, with indications of favourable winds on Thursday afternoon.
Small average surf over coming days ahead of a new SW groundswell with strong offshores, easing Friday as offshores continue. Poor S/SW swell from Sunday through Tuesday.
Easing surf with poor winds tomorrow, cleaner Wednesday but small to tiny. Stormy increase in S/SW swell later Thursday but more so Friday, easing through the weekend as onshore winds persist Saturday, lighter Sunday.
And the run of solid groundswell continues. The sets will ease slightly over the coming days to a low of 3-4ft on Wednesday, before a pulse provides more consistent sets in the 3-5ft range on Thursday. A shortern range NE and SE swell should then come into play late week and over the weekend.
Small swell with strengtheing E/SE winds tomorrow, easing mix of SE and SW swells Wednesday with favourable winds for the beaches. Swell bottoming out Thursday with a weak windswell and improving winds for locations east of Melbourne into the afternoon.
Easing W/SW swell tomorrow, tiny into Sunday, with some tiny W/SW swells for Monday and Tuesday with onshores on the former, cleaner Tuesday.
Inconsistent E/NE groundswell building to the 2-3ft+ across the open beaches in the ocming days, cleanest at protected southern ends. An E'ly windswell looks to build next week, overshadowing the groundswell, but with poor quality.
Probably the most difficult thing about long range east swells is that we have no way of monitoring their status.
