Watch: Adrien Toyon // Flight 566 to Beirut
Born during the Lebanese civil war to a Lebanese dad and French mum, Adrien Khouery Toyon moved to Reunion Island when he was four years old.
25 years later, Toyon returned to the beach of his father's youth as a storm tracked eastward across the Mediterranean. There he surfed a bowly left and later a rarely-surfed slab called 'Yours' - which is surely a play on 'Ours'.

Also from Beirut, the first shot was a Wave Of The Day two years back:
How’s the bullet holes
Assuming that wall didn't erode with time...
Yeah some tube pig saw the wave on the other side of the wall & ate through it I think
Really enjoyed that.. cool tunes and some surprisingly heavy waves!
He has a good style.
Cant get much more authentic. The red and yellow boards looked to be going very nicely for him.
That slabby right hander at the end of the vid, wow! Beirut, who would have thought. Probably only turns on like that once in a blue moon. It appears he was surfing empty line ups too...well him and the possibly a sprinkling of underwater mines and other unexploded ordinance left over from prior years of civil war?
Considering they've taken over bikie gangs, organised crime, drug supply, money laundering and run the prisons, we should be thankful more Lebanese don't surf.
Thanx for sharing Stu... Agree with the crew...
Goodvibes made light work of wall then braved razor wire to surf jetty wavepool.
Amongst guilt trip surf hazards there's always time for style, cool tunes & sick pits!
Harks back to War/Politico '70's surf flick ..."5 summer Stories."
Born to be alive...Surfing is living! No arguments from this side of the fence.

He surfs well good timing I wouldn't mind a Beirut
Auburn rights
He didn't inherit his dads big snooza. How is that for waves the real deal I wonder if other big inland bodies of water get decent waves. You look at the size of the Great Lakes in the USA and wonder, however the bathymetry must have a major influence. Those boards looked like Bali Blades but seemed to go well in those waves and were relatively wide in the tail.
He would be enjoying the waves and lack of bull sharks!
