Watch: Craig Anderson // The quieter you are the more you hear
Seems a little churlish filling this space with waffle for a movie with that title. So, down to brass tacks it is.
It's Ando's new film, shot by Dave 'Big Dav' Fox in Iceland, Indonesia, and South Oz, edited by Kai Neville using an inspired soundtrack and colour palette.

Great variety of waves and ways to surf them.
Next generation, mixing old school style with modern day punch.
Good vid.
How good is that shot with the blue fish swimming that then pans to the yellow single fin slicing through the water? Great mix of music, surf, and colour.
So so good, aye!
Yeah, timeless shot for sure.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to so and so, guys like Rye Craik, Clay Marzo and Craig Anderson and then up pops a clip and there they are surfing as well as ever. This is more a movie than a clip and is really well made to boot, For a skinny, long haired Goth looking dude he charges with tons of style.
Surely the best jiz face in surfing ; )
I'm a big fan of Craig. However, I wonder about his choice to wear an unbuttoned long sleeve shirt while surfing. I've never done it, so it might have some unbridled freedom that i've not experienced, but it smells a bit of trying to manufacture some kind of cool image, which ironically would be uncool. Couldn't quik toss him a long sleeved rashie? Might be showing my age
Lookout, here come the cool police.
Great Friday night viewing with a glass of vino!
Epic edit. Great everything!
The tone and colour through the Iceland sequence was exceptional. And morphing into the closing sequence to Willie Nelson...well can it get better than Willie?
Sorry, I literally had fit due to the first sequence. Damn this medical condition. That is not a joke by the way. Loved the last segment on the single fin. Epic

Soothing
That was ace! Good to see the hypto get another run in triple overhead barrels rather than the 2 foot slop you usually see them ridden in. Loved the single fin section too, so smooth.
On the whole I enjoyed that vid. Better than 90% of what's out there these days. My only criticism is I reckon they're overusing the whole super 8 thing a bit. Remember about five years ago when every clip had lens flare all over the shop? Well the super 8 thing is a bit like that; an effect that everyone's using that is quickly becoming a bit irritating.
Every time I'm pulling in on my 6' 2" Krypto in triple over head I think of Craig...I wonder if he thinks of me when he does likewise?..surely ;)
Wow that combination rarely disappoints.
Anderson, Neville,Fox.
Sounds like a law firm:
Anderson Neville Fox
Well they would probably stuff the legal issue but the price would be cheap.
That was very good. He's a full on tube pig and its fucken sick
Wow, sick film.
No lessons just real life eh. Check it out kiddies, no longer QuikCoronaCraig, back to LowesVBAndo and no difference.... You may kill it but not get any recognition but who cares? Out and about surfing all over with your mates is the best.
I love the comments noting how someone hasn't been sighted for years then pops up and they still rip.... always has and always will.
And a very nice person to share a lineup with .
Friendly, courteous and inspiring.
Man, his surfing is beautiful. Even when he's above the lip he manages to make it look effortless and graceful.
I heard Chas Smith interviewed recently and he said the act of surfing is an inherently feminine activity, in that it is more an act of synergy, rather than mastery. It's at its best when the surfer's harmonising their energy with that of the wave to make something more beautiful than either - I'm paraphrasing, but you get the point. Think Steph Gilmore on a long Mexican point break, Torren Martyn on a mid-length twinny at J-Bay...
While I don't necessarily agree with everything Chas says, that one struck a chord with me and I think Craig Anderson exemplifies that phenomenon really well, especially when he's cruising over shallow coral perched up on the nose of a 70s-style yellow single fin.
Very nice indeed.
Great post, totally agree with everything above.
Got to this clip late but glad I watched it, beautiful surfing and he fucking charges. Gorges himself on the tubes.
Couple of things- agreed on the overuse of Super 8, kinda seems a little contrived these days and has lost it's edge if it ever had one. Second, the whole unbuttoned shirt thing, I tried it once and the only thing more annoying than surfing in a flapping, long sleeved shirt is wearing 6mil, boots and gloves.
Enjoyed that. Hey crg, possibly the only thing that comes close to a song by willie nelson is a song about willie nelson called willie nelson by wagons.
Watched the other night, also agree that one crazy film. A cut above most clips that get dropped. And Craig charges!!!
