It shows how absurd pro surfing can be when you report that someone 'lost' during the recent J'Bay contest, but that's just what happened to Seabass. Bloke went down to Leo Fioravanti in Round 2 (incidentally that was Leo's very first heat win of the year), yet it's hard to dodge the cliche that anyone who donned a vest can consider themself a winner. This year's J'Bay contest will be long remembered both for the performance of F. Toledo and the conveyor belt of swell that saw each day of competition running in majestic double overhead point surf.

So don't expect much in the way of coloured singlet action in Episode 4 of Happily Stoked, but more warm up bravado and on land capers.

Also, this music critic struggled to countenance the stuttering tempo of System Of A Down with perfect J'Bay, but rejoiced when Neil Young flew the flannel.

I surfed with seabass in Portugal and France last year a few times and all I can say is that he is the most humble, friendly and coolest prosurfer I have ever
come into contact with and super nice to my kids. What a legend.

Umm, no it wasn't. Leo beat JJF in Fiji amongst others.
