I knew Jack O'Neill - video
If you've ever slipped on a wetty then you know Jack O’Neill. This short film features the idiosyncratic work of Peter Hamblin - Let's Be Frank, The Ripple Effect - and is an ode to the neopene mogul that allowed that us to search further and surf longer.
On Monday 10th July, there'll be a paddle out in honor of Jack O'Neill. It's happening at Freshwater Beach from 7.30am with a paddle out at 8am. The paddle out will coincide with similar events in Jack's backyard of Santa Cruz, Canada, Holland, J'Bay, the UK, France, and Japan.

Good stuff.
that whole clip had my undivided attention . I wonder what it would sound like with a sound track, a bit of music in the back ground ? (everybody's free to wear sunscreen)
Great clip, he is a legend. RIP
Here's to those who think outside the square (inside the suit). I think my first wetty was an ONeill long sleeve vest, the rubber was dimpled and the lining was red. That was about 45yrs ago and it made the Victorian winter semi bearable. Did not own another ONeill wetty until 2 weeks ago when I lashed out on a new steamer, I hope to paddle out in it for the first time tomorrow, thanks & R.I.P. Mr ONeill.
