Moroccan Gold - video
There's something about this clip that reminds me of the Cape St Francis scene in Endless Summer. Not the discovery aspect - hell, this is a well known wave - but the angle of the wave as it sections relentlessly down the headland. It's also got that parched African aesthetic - other side of the continent, similar look and feel.
Anyway, deja vu aside, the clip includes Alex Gray getting thoroughly and repeatedly slotted, a semi-competent longboarder striving for style, some questionable drop ins, and Freddy Compagnon doing his Alaia step off routine. All set to a surf trash soundtrack.
Wonderful stuff really.

old poo man on the yellow board is killing it
Wave at 1.50..Filthy .....Gopro in the gob the whole wave.
Gonna be some good viewing when Mr Gray downloads that card.
Top footage.
I bet the guy on the mal is glad he decided not to go to the Noosa Festival this year.
The Sahara snake clip was Killer Point from up high.
That is mind blowing to watch. Thanks a heap for that.

incredible hang five
more mesmerising than sirens sweetly singing
After a summer from SE hell that swell is like twice as good as my abilities right now, any idea what it was like 2 or 3 points down the bay?
At around the 3 min mark someone's board snaps like a carrot in the lip with the nose shooting, launching skywards.
Mid 70's Cape St Francis on steroids.
Yes would love to see the go pro footage
