France has shown that there will be severe penalties in breaking the law , and the possibility of a huge fine and potentially jail. The French know that unvaccinated people pose a significant risk to the vaccinated , so it's risk mitigation and duty of care of the majority of the population.
Yesterday it was published that 90% of Australians will get vaccinated , jumped more than 10% in the last few weeks.
I actually would like to see some of the people who knowingly break the law , and endanger others , be given a 48 hr jail term....

I am in contact on a weekly basis with my friends/business partners in Japan/Brazil/SoCal/Hawaii/France , there is not one report of people getting sick from the vaccine.....but in all the other country's everybody has story of one of their family or more who died/ICU's/Hospitalized .Some family/friends got it but nothing really happened because they were already vaccinated ...too many stories of no-vax and very sick people......

Indo- As someone who is in the position of having related true personal experiences and had strangers confidently accuse me of lying, despite them having absolutely no knowledge of my situation, I’ve got to say that you very soon realise that stories like the one shared above are definitely not “ obviously made up”.

I’m not saying that particular story is genuine or not but I’m very familiar with the way those who’ve closed their minds to contrary evidence attempt to delegitimise and invalidate anything and anyone who says something they feel threatens their opinions.

It’s pretty damning when I’ll post a link to what is perhaps the least trustworthy media outfit in the world ( News.com) and a story regarding a well known case of a public figure suffering a well established side effect of the vaccine, the News.com perversion of the truth through omission it passes without comment.

Yet my real world experiences are cause for me to be subjected to pretty shameful character slurs by people who’ve never met me and have no justification for their slander beyond not liking the fact that what I’ve experienced goes against their opinions.

Everyone has a story to tell that either confirms the threat of COVID-19 or raises doubts about it. It’s the same with the vaccine; there are lots of contradictory anecdotes out there that just confuse everyone. If, like me, you’re not a medical expert, then what more can you do than listen to the medical experts themselves and just ignore the noise created by the media and the armchair experts? I’ve decided to trust my instincts and listen to my father, a doctor with over fifty years of experience. His position, like the majority in his field, is this: the virus is a serious threat and the vaccine is relatively safe and effective. I could spend my days down a rabbit hole finding volumes of material on the internet that would contradict his position and I know many people who have already done that, including some in my family. In the end, we’re all just going to believe what we want to believe and the debates will just keep going around in circles. I’m over it, but I’m still morbidly fascinated by the psychology of those who think they know better than experts.

Hey Goofy, most people I know have experienced unpleasant side effects from the vaccines. I had my second jab last Tuesday afternoon and felt fine, but the next day I felt like I’d been hit by a truck: numb, tingling sensations on the right side of my skull, full body aches, shivering and dizziness. Back to normal the following day. Despite losing a day of my life, I don’t regret my decision to get vaccinated.

I left Indo a month early in March 2020 after watching the start of Covid unfold in Asia. It dominated the news on Asian TV whilst Australians were still virtually unaware of the virus. I bought boxes of face masks and rubber gloves after watching healthy people keel over on the street in China on the internet.

I avoided shopping centres and when the Chinese tourists were banned from Bali I knew it was getting heavy and weird. I flew back to Australia in a face mask.Myself and my missus were about the only people at the airport in Bali wearing face masks. I felt like a fool but I also felt protected.

Soon Australians were starting to be fed the Covid story. Stunet ( and maybe Freeride) contended that within a few weeks the Covid story would be over. I contended that it would change the world. I fully supported every early action to protect Australia from the virus including border closures. I argued that Scomo was too slow in doing so. I fully supported lockdowns and hoped for a vaccine to emerge ASAP.

A few months later and I’d read so much conflicting bullshit, watched the way the narrative was politicised and then couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. So many lies and altered narratives.

Remember in January this year when the vaccine was presented as providing 100% permanent sterilising immunity ? Now we know that the vaccines were never even trialled as preventing infection but merely to reduce severity of illness and that they bleed effectiveness at an extremely rapid rate. It is common for the vaccinated to catch and spread Covid. Herd immunity is impossible from vaccines, Yet now the story that if we have vaccine passports we will be safe…?

And that even the previously infected need vaccinations….even booster shots!

Covid , the vaccines and their affects on society are the dominant issues confronting almost every Australian. These forums are an incredible opportunity to exchange experiences, information, links and opinions regarding this huge topic. It deserves to remain on the front page.. The only reason it belongs on the backpage is because of the tendency towards insult and abuse.

I know plenty of people who’ve had it and suffered only minor ill effects including myself. My lady had first AZ on Friday and so far she is just really tired ( fingers crossed , touch wood) . I also know many ( perhaps 40%) who were ruined for a couple/ few days but came good. A know and know of several confirmed who have suffered terrible reactions including a death.

I think the vaccines are probably a helpful prophylactic for Covid for the vulnerable and it’s effects on reducing severity of illness are also useful for the same demographic. I think the imperative to mandatorily inject the healthy and likely non-vulnerable is to reinforce the fictitious narrative that Covid is an existential threat to society, that it is not just another virus similar to that which we currently co-exist with and accept a modicum of risk without impeding civil liberties and upending the world.This then reverts back to creating acceptance of further curtailment of civil liberties under the guise of medical emergency. I think that profiteering and corruption is a major driver of the push for comprehensive vaccination across all strata of society. Vaccinating kids with a near perfect survival rate and those with natural immunity from having caught Covid….WTF?

I think there is a global push towards the reduction in individual rights and liberties stemming from a political ideology. I believe this ideology will eventually cross pollinate with the climate change movement and another thread to the threat to civil liberties will appear. I think that the adoption of a social credit system such as that imposed in China is part of the end game for the digital ID which will be introduced via the Trojan horse of vaccine passports.

I think that central bank digital currencies will replace cash and that eventually we will have a global CBDC. I believe that a digital currency will enable authorities to control everything you do, every transaction and interaction within society. Already we are being conditioned to accept restrictions on freedom based on a vaccine passport for a vaccine which neither prevents infection, transmission, illness or death of the virus under which it is imposed.

If people accept that they cannot leave their house or find employment or mingle with friends unless they cede to the terms of authority then we are already there.

I think that mass automation will instigate a 4th industrial revolution and a few transnational corporations will dominate the globe in private/ public partnerships with a global government. That’s a simple extension of the neoliberalism we already experience.

I think the vast majority of commerce and the machines which replace human workers will be concentrated within these few global corporations. They will essentially be the new equivalent of nations.

I reckon the vast majority of humanity will survive on a universal basic income. Access to this income ( survival) will be determined by your social credit score.

I think we are headed towards a technocratic/ plutocratic neo-feudalism where a tiny global elite controls the population of the globe. The average person will own nothing and their individual rights will be contained within parameters crouched as those acceptable for the common good, despite them mainly being in service of the whims and desires of the controlling elite.

But, yeah…..I really, really don’t think that there’s anything of value to be found in a vaccine passport. It’s certainly not backed by any science that I can ascertain. Again, I reiterate that I think Covid is a real virus and that it has serious effects on a small number of vulnerable people. How can people continue to misrepresent and misunderstand this ?

Any other winter you could go into a hospital and see many seriously sick people as a result of the flu. Thousands of deaths. To walk through an ICU and see two dozen people struggling to breathe as a result of flu would certainly put the fear of god into you. That fear might even last a few weeks until you realise that most people experience a mild illness if anything.

The survival rate for Covid in Australia in 2021 across all spectrums of health and age is 99.58% amongst tens of thousands of cases.. That is a fact. When you reduce the mortality down to demographics of age you will find that even this 0.42% case fatality rate is heavily, heavily skewed towards the aged and those with severe underlying conditions. This is fact. The mortality rates for healthy people are remarkably low.

This is all true despite the emotional horror you would experience if you were to walk through an ICU ward with a couple of dozen severe Covid patients.

Huh? I have repeatedly posted a link from the Lancet stating the peer reviewed establishment that Bell’s palsey is a known side effect of the vaccine. Roadkill thought this fact is somehow neutralised by his claim that Covid also causes Bell’s palsey. Not sure how tit for tat works at his place but it has no influence on scientific reality.

The entire reason I posted that news article was to show how it resolutely avoided mentioning the link to the vaccine.

Perhaps a new thread titled “Down the Rabbit Hole” is needed. We could share some conspiracy theories that we’ve heard from electricians, barristas, hairdressers and so on who have suddenly become experts in specialist fields that others have spent decades studying and practising .

i was getting impatient when I watched that copper vid yesterday, and was going to ask, ...to plead... for someone, anyone... to just lay it all out, ...Im done with the innuendo and conspiracy bullshit...

now I know blowin's post will fire up the pavlov dog 'conspiracy theorists' callers... but the vast majority of that post has been widely reported in one form or another as stated goals and open secrets...

much of it in the decades long before covid was even a thing

it's the plan, whether you see it as a positive or negative, just comes down to perspective

it may have been derailed by a few recent political events, but the plan has largely never changed

the virus is real, the vaccines are real, and many doctors and scientists have nothing but the bestest of intentions...

however, it's pretty clear the uncertainty of the pandemic has been levergaged, as its been seen as an opportunity to fast track what was fastly losing momentum due to a heap of head winds

'the plan' is a bit conspirational sounding...

when really, it's more just a combination of visions, inevitabilities and solutions, that have been floating around for years... a conglomeration of perceived solutions...

and more than a dash of vested interest

the money moved a long time ago, the vision stalled.... but the 'interests' are long invested...

I didn’t make a claim. I stated facts. Ie, we all have a far greater chance of Bell’s Palsy from catching covid than from getting the vax. (Also, getting vaxxed reduces your chance of Bell’s palsy if you catch covid).
