COVID-19 Health System Overload Forecaster

It was me that posted this originally Dr Dick , you will have to tune into ABC and see if it’s repeated or wait until tomorrow and search for it on iview. I turned into his podcast today hoping he would elaborate on this morning’s comment , but it was a different topic.
I listened to that conversation and the podcast and didn't hear Swan say that at all. I did miss the very start of the interview though.
about 4 mins in...
Mandates are.... "More about improving the uptake of these immunisations then more about necessary about protecting the community against the outbreak"
and.
"The scientific rational for a mandate now is much less now you don’t have a sterilising vaccine"

You on the other hand need to show us the link showing that Norman Swan doesn't support vaccine mandates. You made the claim. Time to back it up.This is about accountability blowin. Where's the link champ?
Wow VL demanding a link lol, where's your link from weeks ago about your Hillsong claim and rats?

Yep stoko, she is my brother in laws sister
TBH, a chemist, that counts drugs into a bottle...is the last person I would take medical advice from. The really are pretty clueless.

yes burleigh a very good one, i said this ages ago about learning from ones teacher
some learn from their teacher and become far superior, because there knowledge base starts at where the teachers is, and they take it further
then there are the ones who can repeat what they have been taught but cant take it any further, the Parrott, they are just good at repeating what they are told, they never actually learn anything
Please Bursack and Gromfull.
I don't repeat what authorities say like a parrot, I do however seemingly have a much greater appreciation of what it means to be an expert in ones field than you both do.
You clowns think it's some display of stupidity to accept the bounds of your own knowledge and biases, and defer to the advice and opinions of people who work full time in the field.
It's actually a clear sign of dissonance to think that with little or no training, or experience, your opinions are better or are of more value than these experts, which our authorities rely upon.
Seriously this thread is a epistemological nightmare. Think I'm running out of steam.

My opinions are based on the lies told day after day by the expert$
Just caught a bit of Vic press release and they are yapping on about boosters etc, 7 times more likely to end up in hospital without a booster.
The only thing they forgot to mention is for the vast majority of the population 7 x 0 is still 0
Swan is a puppet. Nothing more, nothing less.
What did your partner think of the rally in Canberra Shorto?
Grace Tame, smoked a bong years ago. The aholes think they can go after her now. No one give a fuck. Weed….no one cares.
Swan's coronocast has been i would argue the leading source of truth for covid info for the majority of Australian's and in the episode linked above he has cautiously but clearly indicated that as it currently stands 1. the mandate for the booster(s) is not linked for the purpose of community health and 2. the need for a mandate is pretty weak - I interpreted that in both cases as not necessary and hard to justify (unless you are considered vulnerable or maybe work with the vulnerable)
shortenism wrote:Swan is a puppet. Nothing more, nothing less.
So who is pulling his strings then shorto?
Please be George Soros or Bill Gates because I'm having a bet with stok on this one. He's got the Rothchilds and aliens.

How come you can immediately recognise a piss take smear campaign on her but fail to see the same when 60,000 we’ll intentioned Aussies are collectively smeared as white supremacist Nazi Qanon supporters?
Think it’s called selective blindness.
They are still traveling home freeride so yet to get a solid de-brief. But from talking over the weekend they were very 'moved' by the sheer volume of punters and overall caliber / mix of the crew in attendance.

It's a pretty fucking good bong.
But seriously what a pack of turds. They'd rather destroy her than do something about violence against women.
This is payback for disrespecting the big man. How dare she be rude to Scumo and Jenny. The funny thing is, it's the worst hit job ever. Tame looks cool and they look like nerdy shitheads.
60,000? Oh come on now blowin, it was 2 million like the cookers were saying.
There's no smear campaign against the cookers, they are just fucking nuts champ. Dressing up as soldiers and calling for politicians to be arrested for treason. Cookers talking about alien invasions and getting cheered on by other cookers. Holding prayer sessions for the non-existent children being held captive by the cabal.
maskless Fuckwits screaming at police from 1 foot away.
Nobody needs to smear those people with baseless accusations and old images. Just play the recent footage from Canberra and say, I rest my case.
I just saw this post about Grace Tame and the bong. It sounds like the photo was on her Instagram the whole time. When you're in the news everyday journalists will go through all your social media accounts to dig something out and drive engagement. I honestly cannot see the conspiracy there or what you called it punished for 'sticking it to the man'.
Scomo has done many stupid things but honestly, this aggressive blame from white bread the other day to this sticking it to the man to many ridiculous memes are just discrediting those sharing the information.
Also, from what I'm seeing, both sides of the argument on this thread tend to dig deep into conspiracies to support their biases. It's fucking crazy on both sides.

More than happy to provide this. The answer is - we are already there. Time for someone to take a lead and start providing a road map to remove all the restrictions. This can be staged and controlled over 2022 but the point is - we need to go there and we need to demand that roadmap from the politicians. There is only one missing piece of the puzzle - an antiviral drug that helps you when you do get sick (I saw a link earlier to good developments in India around this so it's coming).
As a triple vaccinated individual (and a bed wetter according to some) I support the mandates to control the outbreak due to limited resources in the health system. However, they had 2 years to get it ready and it's time to stop using mandates as a cover-up for their incapability to mobilise resources. Happy to go like this for a few more months, get us through winter, boost resources ideally, but that's the max I will personally accept.
Fair enough flollo , a rational response. Might be a bit more uptake with novavax now. Don’t know how keen parents of the 5-11 year olds are , it was only just under 100,000 when I looked a few days ago . The Indian nasal spray could be a winner and there’s been several different pharmas developing these . In that link I put up it had them also using standard of care as well as the nasal spray and I’m not sure what that entails. Most important thing is if more resources are given to the elderly and vulnerable and of course our nurses.

You'd like to give the PM the benefit of the doubt but Scumo simply doesn't deserve it. Notice how Jenny attacked Tame on national TV. Fuck me, I'm offended about what was done to her and so many other women and they are concerned about a frown.
See Scumo's speech today strongly insinuating that indigenous Australians need to forgive us because we've said sorry about the stolen generation. You be good little people and forgive us now. Mind your manners aborigines. Refugees locked up for years and it's their fault. This prick could simply take up NZ's offer of resettlement, but treating them like shit earns him political points with the Hanson scum so they get locked up at great expense to the taxpayer.
It's always the same with this turd. The victims have to mend the bridges. His side don't need to change a bit. His spiritual advisor covered up child abuse and they don't bat an eyelid, but the shithead and his wife get all offended by a non-smile.
The Canberra cookers get his "understanding" while he blames the states for mandates. Always the same MO.
That turd scumo is getting more and more like trump every single day, dividing the country into people we protect and those we will attack. Let's hope the polls are right and this wanker gets absolutely flogged at the next election.

I think we have a very different approach; you mentioned at least 6-7 different issues and I cannot possibly analyse that many issues to make a proper assessment. It sounds bad, yeah, but I can't judge people based on one-line sentences someone wrote. My approach is to select key 3-4 things I value most and fully understand the context, individuals involved, outcomes targeted and outcomes achieved. My brain cannot handle more than that.
I cannot and I don't have to have an opinion on every single issue. So my position is crystal clear; Scomo has done some critical mistakes (the biggest one I attribute to him is the delegation of covid management to states and taking a back seat which can have catastrophic consequences far in the future) but I will also call out the bad behavior of individuals like the ones scrutinising him for eating white bread.

Most victims of abuse have lived with trauma, ptsd, depression anxiety. Substance abuse (who say's it's substance abuse in this case?) . Alcohol, pot, or prescription meds are common escapes to a reality that never leaves the survivor. Very common in cases of abuse Australia wide. Bong or not. That's not the issue thats at play here. Petty mud slinging that won't cover the issues she has lived as have other survivors of abuse. She's not a politician but a survivor of abuse. I don't care about the bong, But the issues she has been representing. What a crock. What's next? Did she inhale? Is she mentally unfit. fuck off. Have a look at the psychology of abuse survivors, could have been in an early grave like so many others who take their own lives due to abuse. Whats the real issue here at play? pathetic. Would rather have a beer with Tame or people like her than a beer with Scomo. At least she stood for something other than her self or vested interests of a select few. I don't think she needs to justify her actions of the past either. She's been a great advocate for many people and has shone the light where it has been ignored. She's paid her dues.

flollo. Many of scumo's mistakes can be corrected by a new government. It's him being such an awful person that will have a much longer legacy. PMs set a standard of behaviour that is copied by his team and ordinary Australians. He's always punching down, blame shifting, and generally wanting others to change to suit his agenda. The pile on against Tame is a really good example of how shit powerful conservatives are in Australia. They don't want to fix injustices, they just want to destroy those wanting change.
That was my point. Maybe too many examples, but the assessment of scumo and his mob is accurate.

Cant be bothered with all your other shit, but none are locked up, all are in detention by choice and have turned their noses up at resettlement options in PNG and Cambodia.
Also New Zealand only offered to take 150 and would only take couples or families the majority of those still in detention are single males.
BTW. 989 have been resettled in USA, 749 returned home or gone elsewhere.
For those who were concerned that MSM wouldn't cover the Canberra Convoy (which they did anyway), have no fear, as an independent media outlet has created a highlights package.

Holy shitballz Ben, that there are some loose units.
What ever ID, It's very easy to portray the Canberra protest crowd as nuts or sane by putting together a montage of short grabs. Add slow-motion and soft / eerie music to set the scene.
You want to know what the crowd was really like? Have a look at their reactions when the speakers start talking absolute crap. It's non-stop clapping and cheering. The only time I saw a dissenting voice was when Malcolm Roberts was talking absolute crap and the cookers thought he was too mainstream and they started heckling him.
It will be on again in future weekends. The cooked fuckwits aren't going quietly unfortunately. They will find new imaginary enemies to fight soon. Rallies are also good for the grifter's bottom lines too.

Well my numbers of children in the 5-11 age bracket that have had 1 dose were way out . Don’t know what I was looking at the other day but this chart shows out of Australia’s population of 2,276,638 kids 1,084,152 have had first dose and 9,073 fully vaccinated ( up to date ) https://www.health.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/2022/02/covid-19...

So sad to see how far people have slipped. And getting kicked repeatedly while they are down too. So much has gone so wrong so quickly over the last 24 months.
Looks like a huge turnout. Know the numbers in the end?

Supa, in July 2021 the target was 80%.
“……Once the country reaches an 80% average vaccination rate, the Federal Government will abolish caps on returning vaccinated Australians, increase capped entry of student, economic and humanitarian visa holders, and lift all restrictions on out-bound travel for vaccinated Australians.…”
Don’t know how that now fits in with rapidly waning vaccine efficacy, the need for boosters to be considered ‘up to date’, State Premiers with different ideas and a dominant virus strain that appears to have luckily evolved into something that’s not as bad as originally feared.

Remember the media laws that Abbott brought in when he was pm? It's a crime for any news organisation to contradict any "official" Australian government news / statements. So in reality the gov has got them by the balls. If they do publish something that goes against what the gov says they risk a 7 year (I think) jail term. They brought it in after the plane crash in Ukraine; the Aus gov were saying one thing, and the reporters on the ground were showing the reality to be completely different. Abbott wasn't happy.
