Yep all a set up . Classic distract divide and conquer . Because bigger things are happening ( they don’t want you to know about the scale of it.. just yet) people gonna have to get used to being controlled. So what better way than to incite civil war and military control .. oh along with war propaganda “ the new normal “. Young black people being used as political pawns ..politicians encouraging riots in the middle of a pandemic ? Hmm.
Just after WHO was dropped . ( WHO/WEF/UN all affiliated )

Victoria.....you’re shitting me , right ?

I thought education was meant to be an export ? Taxpayers stumping up to get the Ponzi machine up and running ASAP.

https://www.michaelobrien.com.au/urgent-action-needed-to-bring-back-inte...

BTW....with the majority of “ students “ being at education providers other than universities, this equates to the taxpayers funding the importation of the Uber driving, car washing , Diploma in hairdressing , underclass who compete with our massively unemployed and underemployed lower wage earners and youth just as we are experiencing the highest unemployment and underemployment in modern history.

Go Australia !

What’s the end game in all this ? Pyramid schemes always collapse one way or another. Will the collapse in the human importation pyramid scheme be economic, environmental or societal ? All three ? I’d like an answer from a Big Australia Ponzi proponent.....how much is too much ? When are you happy ? How many people are you planning on jamming into the driest , most fragile continent on the planet ?

"I thought education was meant to be an export ?" It is you fucking clown. It's Australia's third largest export industry, and our largest service export industry..
"Taxpayers stumping up to get the Ponzi machine up and running ASAP."
Despite handouts on a grand scale to individuals and industries, the university sector has largely been abandoned by the Federal Government and academics are leaving the education sector in droves. You'd love that you anti-expect, anti-intellectual muppet.
It must really grate on you blowin, that Australia and Australians haven't embraced your race hate attitude on an American scale. Your anti-immigrant war hasn't started, and South Koreans haven't been rounded up for deportation.
One of the only positives coming out of the USA is Australians get to see first hand where your shit racist/nationalist agenda ends up.

Looks like my local uni is rooted.

In the words of the VC - "We are not returning — we never will return — to the way we were before COVID-19 struck."

And -

"Our scale is too small, we often incentivise the wrong outcomes, we are drowning in complexity and our attractiveness in the student marketplace is too low. I cannot sugarcoat this — we are experiencing an economic crisis which is still building in intensity."

Of course all this is very much due to relying on full-fee paying foreign students which as I understand it is a direct result of LNP de-funding of universities.

Curious that he points out the shortcomings of Southern Cross Uni's business model which he is in control of but then again he's only been there for about 4 years I think so maybe not enough to turn the ship around assuming that that's even possible.

"Professor Shoemaker said the university's priority in the wake of the pandemic has been to secure the health and wellbeing of staff and students."

Bullhit corporate speak. The VC's $700,000+ P.A. salary is based on his priority being to make money for the business.

Had a chat with a fella connected to two Sydney unis and he was of the opinion the LNP hit job would target city universities and try and spare the regional ones owing to their contributions to regional economies. From what I've seen so far that delineation hasn't, and won't, eventuate. They'll all suffer.

I'm sure the anti-intellectual brigade are cheering, but as always their motives are reactionary and don't account for anything beyond next week.

Breaking down succesful, small population countries and they either have a succesful high tech sector (Finland, Israel, Holland, Ireland up until the GFC), or they rely on mining, immigration, and real estate speculation.

We're killing the foundations of a self-sustaining, high tech sector, so I wonder what the LNP has in store?

Give you one guess...

Even the fan bois are rounding on Trump. From Tucker Carlson's Fox monologue:

"People will put up with almost anything. You can regularly say embarrassing things on television. You can hire Omarosa to work at the White House. All of that will be forgiven if you protect your people. But if you do not protect them — or worse than that, if you seem like you can’t be bothered to protect them — then you’re done."

And:

“‘No matter what,’ they’ll tell you, ‘our voters aren’t going anywhere,’” Carlson said of those surrounding the president. “‘The trailer parks are rock-solid. What choice do they have? They’ve got to vote for us.’ Jared Kushner, for one, has made that point out loud. No one has more contempt for Donald Trump’s voters than Jared Kushner does.”

Hey blowin, Australia's reaction to the shit situation in the USA must really grate with you.
There's no appetite for Trumpism in Australia and your little nationalist revolution has gone nowhere.
We've been given a really good picture of where toxic Hanson/Trump politics leads, and apart from the lunatic fringe (ie you), the overwhelming majority of Australians are fucking glad they don't live in the USA. The majority of Australians don't share your bleak anti-multicultural attitude, and your economic nationalism just isn't going to happen.
Trumps popularity has plummeted, so too has Bolsonaro's and Johnson's. Your revolution has fizzled out and the fucking lunatics are on their way out.

Well for all his appalling blunders and astronomical narcissism, I think we should at least acknowledge one aspect of the Trump presidency and that's squaring off with China. For years there's been an assumption that America's liberal values were universal and that China would come to the fold. Now, we're starting to get an unfiltered look at their MO and understand why it's dangerous to us.

The irony of course, is that Trump's utter inability to lead is only accelerating American demise and hence China's rise.

But you can't deny that it was on his watch that we twigged to the CCP.

It’s the little omissions by the MSM which truly reveal the media bias against Trump.

Take his parkside stroll as an example. The media breathlessly reporting that his security teargased innocent protesters to get them out of the way.

Fact is , the curfew commenced at 7PM. The crowd was dispersed at 6.30 PM after they’d witnessed the force of the White House security massing in the area and telling the protesters to move on .

If you were a peaceful protester , knowing the volatile situation and the tendency for the authorities to overreact as they are potentially faced with life or death situations performing their duties .....wouldn’t you make sure you were well home before the imminent curfew ?

I know I sure as shit would not be loitering in a big mob of strangers as the world imploded around me.

And then when the armed government agents start making their way towards you and announcing its time to get the fuck out of there ....what sort of person elects to hang around ?

You’re no longer taking part in a peaceful protest in memory of George Floyd , you’re there to stir some shit . Stirring shit around the highest elected official with an extremely tense armed guard is dangerous business , particularly in a country where anyone in the crowd could be packing serious weaponry.

Classic

“Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has suspended his decision to scrap a two-decade-old troop deployment agreement with the United States due to political and other developments in the region, his foreign minister said on Tuesday,

The termination of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), which is central to one of Washington’s most important alliances in Asia, was due to take effect in August and was Duterte’s biggest move yet towards delivering on longstanding threats to downgrade ties with the Philippines’ former colonial ruler.

…Critics had said the suspension was a knee-jerk reaction that would weaken the Philippine military, denying it access to scores of annual training exercises, including expertise in tackling Islamist militants, natural disasters and maritime threats.

The official notice of the suspension said the decision was taken “in light of political and other developments in the region”. It did not specify what those were.“

Here’s a hint as to what ( or who ) this may have caused this backpedaling...

I have to say although it's been fun watching Trump piss of the left, if he doesn't get re-elected it's probably a good thing, the worlds biggest troll can't go on forever.

He has made some pretty big fuck ups of late the way he has tackled Covid-19 and then this current issue.

I really feel he missed a great opportunity with this recent event.

IMHO he should have come out straight away promising he would ensure all 4 police get charged ASAP and said they should be locked up, then he could have gone on a great speech about how it wasn't murder of a black man or attack on the black community, that it was a murder of a USA citizen and not to focus on race and call for public to keep calm and peaceful.

In doing so he would have kept everyone happy and have gained support from the African American community.

But instead he does all this other crap.

I dont get it with politics, surely they have all these advisors that suggest all these things.

Stu....I was going to link the Tucker Carlson video for you last night but I assumed you’d ignore on principle.

Now that Carlson is putting the boot into Trump he’s an acceptable reference ?

Here’s the thing.....I reckon the MSM and Democrats have exacerbated this situation to debilitate Trump. They’re more responsible for the situation than he is.

Let’s face it . Even if Trump had came out with the most heartfelt tribute to the deceased, the most empathetic speech on human rights ever witnessed , the MSM still would have framed it as a distraction from Wuflu or a plea for votes or some other narrative determined to undermine his leadership.

If Joe Biden had said “ When the looting starts , the shooting starts “ the MSM would be baying for the Air Force to bomb downtown in every city across the country.

Trump is a egoist , a piss take and a wolf dressed in sheep dog’s clothing, but he is still the President elect and it destabilises the USA for the media to utterly oppose his every utterance and action based on who he is instead of the principle of what he’s doing.

Example.....When Trump closed borders to China and the MSM / Democrats said it was based on racism....FFS. They’ve burnt their credibility to the ground with the Russiagate hoax , let alone little titbits such as that one.

I love the term "Rubber Bullet". It just conjures up thoughts of a product that is more passive and less harmful for use in crowd control. Well I guess if you're comparing it to a real bullet fair enough, but you seriously have to question the ease of which they are being used in these protests at the moment, and the damage they are inflicting on civilians.

Tucker Carlson is never an acceptable reference for me. I already thought Trump's move was indulgent shadowplay, but I'm intrigued by the public shift in mood presented by people like Carlson.

I read a transcript of Trump's recently. The one when he told the four coloured congresswoman to "go back where they came from" - despite three of them being born in the US. In it, a reporter asked why he always stalls when it comes to speaking out against racism. At Charlotteville he waited, I think it was four days, before condeming the neo-Nazis and KKK flag-wavers.

Trump said he likes to wait till he has all the facts first so he "only speaks truth."

Now, I'm sure you're aware of his overactive Twitter feed, sending tens of Tweets a day, upwards of a hundred on a weekend, and with so many lies it makes the above statement farcial in the extreme.

He's forever sounding off, and on every topic, but when it comes to white supremacy and culture war he stalls to get the facts right.

Bullshit.

He knows he'd be speaking out against his own base. Bannon said the exact same thing after Charlotteville.

He didn't light the wick this time but he hasn't done a damn thing to wet his fingers and help put it out. Not one uniting expression of leadership.

Worse, he's tipped fuel on the explosion.

Vic Local's picture
Vic Local's picture

stunet, when you understand the language, imagery, and props of white supremacists, it's very easy to understand Trump's messaging.
Holding up the bible was a classic nod to conservative Christians who see virtually everything as a battle between good and evil. Trump regularly chucks red meat to his base. Recent talk about Virginia attacking the 2nd amendment was Trump telling his mob that evil forces were going to take away your right to protect yourselves.
Mark my words, there's going to be a massive escalation of gun related hate crimes in the lead up to the election.
Trump's "very fine people" are in a war where "good" must triumph over "evil".

"I love the term "Rubber Bullet""

I hear ya, Gary.

Reminds me of 'Pepper Ball'.

What's a 'Pepper Ball', I hear you ask?

They're exploding balls, filled with OC, or oleoresin capsicum, an ultra-concentrated form of the compound in hot peppers mixed with carriers that make it stick to your eyes and skin and lungs more easily, fired from a gun.

That cause tears. And breathlessness. And shit.

And which the Center for Disease Control, for instance, label as a 'tear gas' (an umbrella term for about a half-dozen so-called 'riot-control agents' or 'less lethal' chemical weapons).

And which the cops clearing the way for Trumpy's sick little photo op admitted using along with 'smoke cannisters'.

Apparently these new fandangled 'pepper balls' hurt worse than the old trad CS 'tear gas'.
