The Daily Good News
For at least the last 15 years I've not taken more than 3 weeks off at any one time.
Today is the first day of a 10 week break and I've got so much to do.
On top of this fact I just read Ben's Forecaster Notes.

Just began a train journey back up the coast. What was going to be a chilled journey turned nightmare when the seat next to me was filled with a massive woman . More than filled really. Overflowing with the size of this woman.
The train guard checking our tickets realised my plight and returned after doing his rounds to politely and diplomatically suggest that there was a spare seat amongst the otherwise full train in the next carriage.
So stoked. Now it’s back to being a fun experience as opposed to a hellish test of endurance .
That bar car must be open by now.....
Well, that is good news.

Maybe she's commenting on an 'ironing and miscellaneous housework' blog at this very minute about how she dodged a bullet too.
And we're all lucky there's such good reception on the ol' train.

There's been generally shite banks down my way for months now, but today's clean E/NE swell just couldn't be denied and two sessions at the local bookended a fantastic day. Coupla mellow sessions in boardies warm waters, bit of Bunninglingus and a dig in the garden, now I'm swishing some microbrewery beer around in my mouth like it's fucking Grange Hermitage while the cockatoos get raucous in the tree across the driveway.

Installed a new sounder in the Sea Wok, fixed up a few dings in the boards and changed the wax jobs. Feel like a new man.

Good news! (It's been a while)
I had my best surf in ages today.
3 -5 ft, groomed, and relatively uncrowded.
Paddled out and scored wave of the day straight up. I remember it well. The rest were just a bonus.
All things considered I got my fair share.
Days like these are the gold we seek.
The cropped mobile pic doesn't do it justice. The sets were twice the size, but became more intermittent as the morning wore on..
Great stuff WOL. It was a bit smaller and windier here today after two great days around 6ft. I went out and grabbed a few fun ones before the tide ran out. A chill out day tomorrow might be the go!

Great stuff facto. A lot more silverware to come I reckon. It was a funny sort of game. After that early penalty Liverpool just kept it tight at the back and didn't drive forward as hard as usual but they still created the best chances. Tottenham looked toothless in front of goal and probably should have started with Moura. Good to see Joe get a run at the end! YNWA
