Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.

Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.

YouTube takes control of Ben's Tunes...
tbb swears YouTube just dropped a hint on his platter...no say in the matter!
So this first Mystery Track was just donated by YouTube...or was it a challenge!

Pause!
Crew might recall Pickerupperer tbb recenty played a fresh Road Kill CD ejected from a car'dashian!
Mostly rubbish it was but we salvaged about 3 weird experimental Trax...
As a result ...The Climate council awarded Ben's Tunes Carbon Neutral status...all knew that....Ok!

So this here is the same game...YouTube bullies tbb to challenge Ben's Tunesmiths to a DJ Duel!
As a result we meet our Paris Targets by simply accepting YouTube shop cart track...no fuss!

Mystery YouTube Ben's Tunes Track (tbb swears he never touched the dial...fresh to the crew!)

The game is to cue one back...tbb is familiar with that & knows to pick & share a familiar track.

Now it gets a little more freaky coz we gotta raise the bar with some Insane Freak Beat Recycle Treat

Might wanna put the Gromz to bed....No choice but to summon Superstar...Still only $5.99

Have an idea...tbb bizarrely has a copy of Chance a Tune Single [Hit/Flop/*Break Even]...Don't ask!
This dirty little secret will seriously freak ya out...
Rockstar is so fucked up it replaces the game board Dice with a deadly Russian Roulette Disc...well durr!
We need to likewise recycle some Freak to ransom YouTube to pull the trigger...our freaky plan will work!

Watch as the Russian Roulette Disc Plays a random Track each spin (Like a Dice)
Be careful not to get hooked on that outrageous Brainwashing *Break Even Rock Star Riff.

tbb thinks he can upcycle that *Break Even riff to cue our targeted track
Can now cue any insane version of *Scoprio...but it's impossible to break even...Zombie wins every time.

This here Freak Beat *Scorpio Jam should be illegal...blow yer minds every spin.
This is That Superstar Board Game Freak Out Brainwashing Track...better stand back!
Freak Beat YouTube challenge Winner...Ben's Tunesmiths break the internet to save Rock Music!

Well that sounds quite the ride B6. Loving the thought of an HK with Mallard attached, crusing around, pumping out the beats. Keep that dream alive sir! If all else fails it is eminently possible to fly over and rent a vanlyfe option.

We've seen the rise of multi national corporations in our lifetime. Let's hope we get to see their demise in our lifetime as well.
Good on the boys from Bad Dreems for speaking out as well. Their story just epitomises how these leeches operate. 40 Years ago they would have been one of the biggest and most profitable bands in Australia, but are forced to grovel for breadcrumbs nowadays. Pretty sad really.

garyg1412. Hi mate, hope you’re well in the ‘beautiful isle’.

I read further that our government for fuck sake, were conned into giving Live Nation millions in grants for ‘so called’ development projects for Australian talent.

How bloody dumb are we ? Don’t we ever do back checks and seek more concise information before parting with dough.

It’s seems a recurring theme in this country, we bleed and waste billions annually.

Live Nation are worth USD$153 billion for fuck sake, they don’t need handouts.

For as wealthy as Gudinski was, at least he was fair. He was hard, but fair.

Once commented that the Skyhooks started his business and later in life Kylie Minogue put icing on his cake.

Our governments bleed so much money it’s ridiculous.

My son is deaf, due to all the rorting that’s been draining billions from the NDIS, there’s nothing left for the people it was intended for.
He can barely get anything basic from the system .

Some individuals or companies have drained amounts like $20mill, $40mill. Why are they not in front of the courts ?

All these fake companies passing as carer businesses have basically stolen this money under the nose of a system where there was no accountability or good governance.
Our joint is fucked at present. AW

PopDown. Hi mate.

I was so angry the more and more I found out about Live Nation with some further readings.
Their behaviour is analogous to Uber’s global conduct. Profit before people.

Life story, I’d like to share.

My son is 23 years and at the age of around 14 months we knew he couldn’t hear.
It was nothing that my wife and I contributed to via our personal choices, be it , drugs , alcohol or whatever.
We are intelligent people, she’s a Doctor in her field, deafness doesn’t discriminate.

One in every thousand humans born are hearing impaired to some degree.

The gene that controls hearing is called Connection26.

So in our/sons case it’s just a bad luck lottery draw that when the genes for expression were being arranged after gene transcription , somewhere in that gene pool being arranged on the DNA helix, either some ancestor of mine or my wife was previously deaf and that gene of one us (ancestors) slipped into the biological soup.
Fascinating really when you think about it.

It could’ve been 500, 1000, 10,000 years ago , who knows.

He was born with non-congenital deafness/ which is when you still have a connection between the the brain and the ear (neuro transmission tube) compared to congenital deafness where there is no connection and forever no chance of hearing again.
Essentially the Cochlear is defunct, in our sons case , the minute villi hairs inside the tube that’s sends/pushes the sounds to the brain were not present.

Alas , my son has profound hearing loss (highest level) and the very night we heard it from the audiologists mouth it confirmed our suspicions.

We balled our eyes out the whole way home to our property.
Because we all have this mental model of having or hoping your newly born child is perfect in every sense of the word.

But one thing stuck in my head , the audiologist said the only difference between your child and others is that he doesn’t hear as well as those around him.
He has a functioning and intelligent brain which will be no impediment in life. She was so correct with that statement.

The next morning at home, without procrastination , you moved on.

At 18months he had a Cochlear Implant in his right ear only, left ear had 0.001% of hearing which a specialised hearing aid was fitted.
In the interim, we both attended night school to learn Auslan, (Oceania’s version of sign language), my father aged 65 then and a brother also jump to the cause, you really find out who are the best persons in life when a family matter ensues.
Fast tracking the story, it took two decades encompassing primary school at a Deaf School then College in Melbourne at a school that had a Deaf/Hearing Facility in a normal school, spending $100K renting in Melbourne for six years until he graduated.
All the while speech is developing year after year.
Today he speaks very clearly after hard work by all three of us .

Hearing impaired people do all there formative learning through their eyeballs, they become incessant readers and observers of media, in fact most are very intelligent people.
He told us once by the age of 15, he’d watch 1200 movies. Phew !!
He fell in love with movie industry and said he’s going to be the next Scorsese, we said , go for it.

He’s in his last year of a Degree in Film Screen & Media at a major uni in Melbourne, lives in a share house with mates in Nth Melb and loves it, has made several quality’shorts’ and we couldn’t be prouder.

Tears are profusely rolling down my face. I betta call it quits. AW

Edit. Pops. My wife and I made a very bad financial decision post my son’s implant.
Shares were $3.30 a share then, minimum buy was 1000 shares, we barely had any money after all these unexpected immediate costs related to our sons situation.
Wow, what a mistake, we couldn’t scrape together $3,300.00 then at the time.

You can do the sums today’s, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

But, nothing is comparable to love of your child.

Good stuff guys. Thanks. A Few Good Men. Pops- truer word said mate, the best investment for sure.

A little tidbit . When my son was in his teens he’d attend live music concerts in Melbourne.
When I first saw and heard of this, I’d learnt something new.

Hearing impaired people take a few balloons into music concerts, they only need one most of the time, but a few in reserve is handy.
They blow them up and place it under their tee-shirt and they don’t miss a thing. ‘ The ballon full of air interprets what’s going on musically.

‘The Beat Goes On’. AW

We met Prof. Graham Clarke on two occasions, never met a nicer guy.

We were in the Cochlear Implant Clinic one day for periodic speech therapy and audiological services, he just sat down with son and I and chatted for an hour.

Saw him again a few years later, he remembered my son’s name blew me away.

He told my then wife and I the last time we saw him, the technology he and his students had devised to make the first implant , was now being used to try and return sight to blind people, he’s definitely a man of his word.

He said it won’t happen in his life time but it will some time thereafter.

What a great experience to meet the inventor of the Bionic Ear , as we called it .

Katherine Livingston was the CEO and a great Manager .

In the 30 years since , the Managers that head Australian Companies are World Class imo .

Most of Australia's major Companies are Lead by Australians .

The Boards can choose Outsiders , if necessary and it Has happened ,

Getting a New Invention going is harder in Australia , than in the US .

Getting a New Invention accepted into the Medical System , is much harder still .

Regulations and Risk .
