I am interested as to what people think of Hypto Krypto boards to supplement a regular short board? I know that are a bit of a trendy fad etc and jumping on one of these is no substitute for talking to your shaper but I have seen lots of people ride them and they look really fun. It seems that they have good paddling power and people seem to get on waves pretty early and that really helps in the kind of junk that I surf most of the time. Sure they may be hard to get vertical but I’d much rather a board that allows you to get on the wave early and generates plenty of speed (esp in junk waves).
The prob is that these boards are super exxy. I wish I could just jump on one to get a few waves to see how they go. I think I could get a reasonable feel for how they paddle and how they get onto waves.
