It’s a scare tactic to get more Palestinians to leave. Message is clear: leave, there is no hope here. We are taking over.

US probably won’t take over but this radical narrative will force additional people to leave.

Yes smoke and mirrors. Not sure what his end game is…I think it’s more about mouthing off and being seen as a tough leader. It just shows how stupid he really is

It’s obviously another distraction from what is really happening in the US ,
The gutting of the FBI , Musk taking control of everyone’s private social security, medical data etc , the elimination of the Department of Education,
The moves to take power from the Judiciary
and Congress, and concentrate it on to the executive .
The intimidation and bowing down of the
corporate media .
Undocumented immigrants going to
Guantanamo Bay
Authoritarianism 101
They’re calling it an ongoing Musk led coup.

That is the bigger issue…gawd but a bunch of 20 year olds have access to write code..I think Musk wants to use AI in govt spending…that will end in disaster.

Another new poll was done this month in USA.

"Polling reveals Americans’ widespread, bipartisan support for Israel "

(below taken from article, it's longer, this is the meat)

This widespread support for Israel may seem quizzical given the outsized attention to the disruptive — yet very public — anti-Israel protests that have erupted in American cities and on campuses since the war began in October 2023.

And yet the data, captured routinely since the outbreak of the war, suggest that these protests do not align with the true mood of the American people.

As far back as November 2023, we found that Americans overwhelmingly (70 percent) believe that “Hamas is a terrorist organization that wrongly attacks, kidnaps, and murders innocent civilians.” Only 8 percent agreed with the statement that “Hamas is a freedom-fighting organization committed to liberating the Palestinian people and ending Israeli occupation.”

In that same vein, the poll suggests that support for Israel and concern over growing antisemitism at home are both bipartisan ideas. Seventy percent of U.S. adults support Israel’s right to defend itself, and the support is consistently high among Republicans (79 percent), Democrats (65 percent) and independents (65 percent).

What’s more, this bipartisan support extends beyond Israel’s current war with Hamas in Gaza.

Majorities of Republicans (76 percent), independents (57 percent) and Democrats (53 percent) agree that “the U.S. should remain a steadfast ally of Israel and fully support it in a war with Iran.”

It is not just support for Israel where Americans are largely united. At home, as protests on college campuses continue — including at Columbia University last week, where students interrupted a class to distribute antisemitic fliers featuring violent images — Americans of all parties are united in concern over rising antisemitism due to the war.

Strong majorities of Republicans (70 percent), Democrats (65 percent) and independents (61 percent) expressed concern that the current Israel-Hamas conflict has led to an increase in antisemitism on campuses.

Similarly, three-quarters (74 percent) of Republicans along with majorities of Democrats (62 percent) and independents (59 percent) support college administrations tightening rules around these protests.

Ultimately, the polling indicates that, far from being a partisan issue, Americans are largely united in supporting Israel’s right to self-defense and worrying over the impact of surging antisemitism.

Moreover, the data suggest that the media narrative of stark partisan differences toward Israel, which has taken root since Oct. 7, 2023, is inaccurate. Support for Israel does not divide Americans along party lines — rather, it is an area of bipartisan agreement in an age when such widely supported issues are increasingly rare.

Slippery slope this one. In theory, I’m not necessarily against buyouts/voluntary redundancies. There would be a lot of waste in such big bureaucracy. But doing it this violently is not ok. These are people who have bills to pay. Trump will lose a lot of support in CIA and FBI which are full of conservatives who like law and order, not this aggressive bullshit from Elon and Co. especially as they see them dragging their work through the mud on social media.

Is he fucking trolling everyone? I don’t know if he’s serious or is this some wild dark humor? The way he talks, body language looks like he’s taking everyone for a ride. I mean, staff he says is not necessarily wrong. Yes Gaza is a shithole, turned to rubble. And yes, if you give Palestinians a nice house with a ‘beautiful’ piece of land elsewhere many will take the offer.

But it’s a shithole because you wrecked it and people would take an offer elsewhere because of traumas that you caused. If you do it here you can do it anywhere. It’s a disgrace and it should never be allowed.

I think Trump is set on expanding the US ‘somewhere’. He wants to be known as a president that expanded the territory. And he seems to be probing around until he finds a weak spot.

I will make it clear for you

@Indo,
I don't need to save face and yes I did read it again, as would have been obvious to any idiot when I said "I had forgotten about his Spanish roots"
Ashkenazi Jews are from Europe, Shephardic Jews are from Spain.
The history and bloodlines of the Jews fleeing Judea is contended.
You should know that from your deep diving, even if it's in the shallow end of the pool.
But it is really not a topic I wish to debate with an ignorant google history taught genocide simp zealot of a criminal State who cheerleads death of innocent civilians and fan charts Trump's fucking idiocy on SN like some Swiftie.
You want to claim he's a Hebrew, knock yourself out.
You want to say I'm an idiot, knock yourself out.
It was an "aside" to begin with. I couldn't give a fuck if he's Moses incarnate to be honest.

I said he has no Hebrew DNA.
The article by implication states as much.
He has no Hebrew DNA. He and you are clutching at straws with the disputed history.
He's a European Pole born in Israel, his parents name was Mileikowsky.
You said "Who knows what his original surname was"
Er, him, his parents and anyone who googled it.
Not you apparently.
His father's name was Nathan.
Netanyahu is a Hebrew interpretation of it.
He changed his name from a Polish one to a Hebrew one.
Not because of pronunciation difficulties or any other bullshit excuse they like to use.
I actually don't think it's an unreasonable thing for a Jewish Israeli to do, a statement of their commitment to the Zionist ideal, solidarity.
And so they don't sound like settlers.
And it might even surprise you to know that I would have no problem with the State of Israel if they were a law abiding State, it's not their existence that is a problem to me, it's their behavior.
Of all the people on the planet who should have compassion and understanding of oppressed people with the right to a homeland it is the Jews. Many, many Jews, including in Israel feel that way.
There are rules of war, even an insurgent one.
There is International Law, or maybe after today, there was.
Why are the people subject a few short generations ago to the worst crimes against humanity of the 20th century repeating those same crimes now?
Why do they ignore the rules set up in honour of the victims of the holocaust?
If they have to become what they despised to achieve their goals then what does that make them?
Oct 7 was a dreadful event, a war crime and rightly recognised as such by the ICC.
But what they have done, what they plan to do.
Genocide.
Like the Nazis.
I'll never understand that.
They could have lived in peace once the State was established, they just had to give a fuck about the people that were there, recognise they were there, accommodate their needs, including the need for human dignity, a safe home, basic needs, a homeland, even a shared one.
Fuck it, too late now.
Bomb fuck out of it, kill thousands with nothing to do with Hamas or Oct 7.
And now just level it, get rid of them (don't be shocked if they end up in Indonesia either just quietly, the Arab States won't take them) and then take it.
Like it's easy.
Plenty of well drilled, freshly uniformed, well armed with sophisticated seized Israeli weapons Al Quassam battalions on show at the hostage takeovers. Plenty of guns and money around to fight still,
Enemies growing daily.
The US haven't done well with boots on the ground in the ME.
They are just going to waltz in?

Anyway, we shall see.
And he's an Israeli Pole not a Hebrew.
Go back far enough and we are all Africans.
Further and we are all came from the same monkey.
