[ Lyric Correction ] From previous page...
tbb wasn't happy sharing the "Written Variations on a theme!"
Please Change ...." I was free from Drive / Draft or pre form dry
( As written in several online Lyric texts! )
tbb says not to believe any of that as none remotely fit & tbb apologizes for leading the crew astray!
( Advise to simply Listen for yerselves ... a bit closer to what sounds pretty clear > now Feel the groove!)
Lesson in how lazy all have become to just follow what's on the net...
tbb is happier to fit this more likely Lyric.
Moulded I was Folded, [ I was Pre-Form Packed ] As in the Amniotic Sac.
> .....Plastic Vac > ....Statistic Facts
Try that...feel better now! Also perfectly fits the derived & contrived New Wave Poly Styrene Narrative...

Joyous b6. My kids were surly teens on their own screens by the time I got a smart phone. Had to ask my lad today not wear headphones around the house if others are at home. Then spent an hour talking the ins and outs of a DSLR so he can do a uni project. Taking my oldman out for a respite day, an owl experience. Meet a barn owl and have a chat to it.
Hello truebluebasher
I do love to TRY and follow your Conspiracy Theories , but not " Wise like an Owl " and often " slow as an orangutang " .
Dad says to the kids , " There is an Owl amongst Us" .
One kid says , "Who " ?
Dad looks at his little monkey and eyes narrow .
Time to flush this waste.
gotta say @blackers, Adelaide does yer thursday night punk-band reeeeallly well. It's why I liked Last Chance Bar so much, can't wait to go back, just a 2' bigger Crown and Anchor. same/same.. Cranker on a nothing night (or Metro) is soo fun. Last Chance, but in the middle of SA.
think, like Splatterheads or Poppin Mammas, dialled back a notch, that's Adelaide, you got Cull the band and whatcha might call the post Mice-Skulls era of Adelaide nonchalant punkish gathering music : )
Awesome, ol' boys just wanna have fun. Do you have a Burgerama equivalent though? The missus and myself will be doing a bit a tour of SA later in the month, will try to catch something when we are in Radelaide.
As a digression, this clip is from a cruise ship performance. Things are looking up, Hope they are playing on the Sea-Link to KI.
I now stay at the nurses' place, when in Melbourne, to be across the road from that punk-fried chicken.
The best equivalent, in terms of comfy, no fuss, tots location, in Adelaide is Majestic Roof Garden, (has no roof garden anymore, so adelaide, haha) down the street from the Cranker (Roxie's beer garden next door is very civilised for wives and oldies like me), East-End Cellars precinct, and 3 Burger joints. Also a casual walk to Le Pas Sage (french cafe), Clarity Records, and Orchard Bookshop. And Rundle St/Mall.
(for the best Indian, Daughter in Law for modern and on point, Jasmine for serene and calm adelaide institution, buy the book while there https://jasmin.com.au/the-book/)
.
Juliette Seizure and the Tremor-Dolls, play at the golden wattle fairly regular.

Cheers.
one of life's most glorious pleasures is browsing Clarity Records, after a Le Pas Sage croissant burger. Knowing you have enjoyed a shitty punk gig the night before. Then wandering down to Adelaide Arcade to find a random book.
I believe this is also a speciality in SA.
Hello Base 6
Sounds like U are like a pig in poo , doing the Adelaide Arcade Shuffle , or some head banging moves , u learnt last night .
What book did your wandering lead U2 ?
"Life's most glorious Pleasures " , that's a possible Thread .
We'll get from " mucking around in a boat " 2 "mucking around with blokes" and Everything in/between .
Live music , is a glorious life pleasure , 4 me 2 .
Went down 2 Boneo last Saturday and saw Kerryn Fields perform , 4 the first time , as headline act , 4 a Ninch Night Concert ( their 6th and they are very community focused ) .
Seeing and hearing Kerryn , was like watching an incredibly natural and wonderful , Force of Nature , perform .
The Ultimate , Storyteller !!!
110 people there , just sitting on the floor , a Sell Out in the small Church on The Ranch , with me up the front and I was blown away .
She also made Hand painted Gift Cards , which were great gifts , 4 my girls , mum included .
Being in , "The Good Books" with family , is another of life's glorious pleasures :)) !
haha, one of my pet hates is syllables-forced-to-serve-the-tune @blackers. (I admire ernest hemingway/george mackay brown machete-edit minimalism), but when slamming machine-gun syllables works.. it WORKS...
love it: "burnouts in a government car" - bam. My uncle worked for the government, and bragged endlessly that his Newman-style 5c/10c recycling scam worked cos he didn't pay for petrol.
(total pig in poo @PD, when we decided to live in a central location we got pretty good at enjoying the various troughs and slops that cities have on offer. Fun as. The Cranker adjacent thing I've done, maybe a dozen times. Last trip, saw Quicksand or Blood Sucking Freaks, can't remember what records, but I bought a Moomin book, and a Phil K Dick book).
Clearly a double flush was required.

Disposable fun. Love your unc's work, bet family get togethers were a laugh.
he was grouse. played basketball for australia and toured the philippines with the australia team, when they were all 5'6" and threw underarm. (great tunes)
met a kid yesterday, that's going to see Iron Maiden with his mum, he's excited as. Imagine what that experience will be for a country14 year old?!! So epic! WOTD brought this to mind:

Nice one.
Well here's something Iron Maiden adjacent. The Handsome Young Strangers with Driza Dickinson on vocals and mandolin making him more versatile than his pommy cuz, though old Bruce has arguably got a better range.
Huge. Truly related? Prefer his range to Bruce's. Will have to try a drop as well, anything to recommend?

Also in related news, my lad scored Oasis tix. Is taking his mum to Wembley.

that's unreal. just the ticket.
Yeah, parents were ten pounders. Dion was two years above me at school - the same one that edumucated Rob Younger, albeit many years ahead of us - and I used to see his first band a lot.
Cronulla Point Ale is good. Haven't had it for a while, very hard to get down here, and if memory serves me well it wasn't quite dark and heavy enough for me. Stout or porter or GTFO.
Nice one. Dig the mandolin flavour. On beers, if you're into the dark side try this crew.

Holy shit! What did i just watch!!?? haha. That was absolutely epic!
Cool song too.
What kind of mind makes a clip like that. Brilliant!
Some more mandolin in here.
The Zoo.
Fuck knows when. Tex, in what incarnation I don’t know, supported by Magic Dirt.
Maybe Tex was supporting, I can’t remember.
Some guy got kicked out for yelling ‘show us your….to Adilita, while we were all thinking it.
Tex and the Incarnations were playing and some chick front and centre was grabbing his legs and going for the block and tackle.
I remember he showed restraint for a couple of songs but lost it and face planted her with one of those old school mic stand bases.
The look of instant regret on his face was palpable.
.Liked that cover by tex. On point range wise. Toons.
One more.
^^ oh yeah nice one Blackers
that last one is sooo seeds @blackers, it leaks lickety-steel-splittin, dobro-spittin, sideburne-shinin, national-axe baked, shaker-bass-tom, boomtown-booyah, fuckety-twang, trailer-bang yeeeeehaaaaahhh!!!
(good track)
Hehe you’re starting to sound like Donald Dump.
Steel dobro too.
Make Blues Great Again
They go alright eh?
anyone know what happened to cw stoneking? so much appropriation-blurring.. NT boy, does Creole Gilligan stoner after-party pantomime.. black-face woulda kinda worked in this post-everything ironic context..

nice land acknowledge at the beginning, normal blokes, normal thing to do. and do sincerely and kindly. why not? the most astonishing comment i've read on swellnet in a while (I think from an 80 year old wearing a cravat) was: 'musicians are naturally left leaning, cos they are out of touch with common people.' hahahahahahahahahahaha.
tradies, maybe. but I wouldn't be such a tool as to suggest that.
when did you last meet a muso that had any money, or didnt have diverse social connections?
(most musos are tradies, too.. or something useful, to support their family.)
..or didn't muck in with his community, and listen well?
(most are meeting people from all life's walks. If they gig or tour.)
fucking comic book stuff. do you mean, like, Bono?
anyway, yeh, @seeds, that's the lads, good stuff.
You’re on the money mofo.
As usual!

Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
