I’ve had a lot of fun analysing these complex systems in the Tasman over the last few weeks, but unfortunately our swell window has dried up and we’re looking at a lengthy period of small flukey swells, mainly from the southern quadrant.
Good waves all week down south for all surfing abilities.
Slower period this week but with good conditions each morning across both coasts.
Plenty of swell Saturday but with less than ideal winds, cleaner Sunday with an easing S/SE swell.

Yesterday was poor with strengthening onshore winds and a new W/SW groundswell that then was hard to distinguish under a building S/SE windswell.
No major changes to the weekend forecast. However, we’ve now got two distinct pulses of swell on the cards and I reckon Sunday’s going to kick quite a few more goals than Saturday.
Tons of swell but poor winds for all of next week. Thursday and Friday may offer windows of cleaner conditions.
Big and windy: that’s what this weekend has in store for us.
Solid swell and light offshores tomorrow with exposed spots the go Sunday, while Monday should be excellent everywhere.
If you have to surf over the weekend go Sunday morning west of Melbourne, but keep expectations low. Monday onwards is looking much better.
