Recap

A fun pulse of S/SW swell from a strong but fast moving low Wednesday provided 2-3ft sets yesterday, while this morning we've still got 2ft waves with great conditions.

A new pulse of mid-period SW swell should boost sets more to 2-3ft this afternoon as winds hold from the NW.

Good surf this AM

This weekend and next week (Jul 27 – Aug 4)

The strong polar frontal system linked to this afternoon's building mid-period SW swell, cleared to the east yesterday and we'll see dropping surf from 2ft+ tomorrow morning with great N tending N/NW winds.

Sunday looks tiny, but later in the day we may see some small W'ly swell on the build but early next week is a much better chance to target a surf.

We're seeing a strong Southern Ocean frontal progression focussing up and under Western Australia, with fetches of strong to near gale-force W-W/SW winds just within our western swell window.

The progression will move slowly east, with it continuing with strength just west-southwest of us Sunday.

This will create a moderate sized mid-period W/SW swell for Monday to 2-3ft, while strong, tailing activity under us Monday looks to generate more size on Tuesday to the 4ft range, easing slowly Wednesday.

Winds will be generally favourable and strong from the NW on Monday, W'ly Tuesday, tending W/SW at times. Wednesday looks great as the swell eases with persistent N'ly winds.

Longer term were looking at smaller pulses of W/SW swell into late week/next weekend but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
