The surf over the coming days will be best in protected spots before winds slowly swing back favourable for the more exposed beaches and breaks across the state.
The swell potential from a strengthening mid-latitude low currently under WA is much better, with fun waves due through the period before slowing down.
Today's large, building groundswell will ease steadily over the coming days as winds provide options across most locations at stages. Another less favourable low is due to form on the weekend.
