Help Nav and Woody and Jona recoup costs
We're really hoping this is the last we hear of this issue...
Nav and Woody and Jona - the Malolo Three - who fought unscrupulous Chinese developers tearing up Malolo Island, have set up a GoFundMe page for a little legal relief.
They've been fighting Freesoul for a year, calling on legal counsel when necessary, and they've been paying for it themselves. They're hoping a crowd fund can take some of the heat off their lifesavings.
If you don't like the crowd fund concept...well, keep on walking, this ain't the place to get righteous. For anyone else who dug what the trio did, then click the link below and loose some coins for a good cause.

PS Hopefully the Fijian Government keeps the developers on notice for years to come.
If the Fiji Leader keeps his word, why the go fund me?

SoCal Steve has their back. Good on these guys for not backing down.
1st Thank you to Swellnet for reporting on our story with such detail. You guys have done an amazing job. We thought this story needed to be told, but its been nice to see Swellnet report as its unfolded. And for all the surfers out there to band together and voice their disbelief at this monster, thank you for your comments.
The reason for the GoFundMe page is this fight is not over, yes the Fiji's Department of Environment has revoked Freesouls EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) Approval. But Freesoul still need to be held accountable to clean up their mess, stabilise the foreshore & rehabilitate the mangroves, to do this we need help. We honestly don't know if Freesoul will stop, their past says they'll keep working.
We've spent huge amounts on lawyers fees & countless hours on this and we honestly don't have anymore left.
The size of this resort was going to put serious pressure on Malolo's environment. 380 Bures ranging from 1 bedroom suites to 3 to 4 bedroom units. Fiji's 1st Casino operating 24 hours a day. This thing was crazy. Over tourism at its best.
We setup the GoFundMe page to see thing through 100%. We've done 80% of the leg work on our own backs. We just don't have the last funds to make sure we can keep Freesoul accountable.
If you can help we are so grateful, if you can't help we understand.
Thank you...
Nav, great to have your direct input on here!
I'm curious as to why the owners and operators of the other 2 'resorts' nearby on Malolo Lailai haven't helped hold the Chinese accountable. Have you guys approached them for help?
What about the other resort near you guys on Malola, Funky Fish? They help out, put in any $$ etc?
And, is the "Jona" you guys are in the 99 year lease with, is he the same 'Jonah' as "Jonah Surf Fiji" https://www.instagram.com/jonahsurffiji/ ??
Done.
Keep fighting Nav , Woody and Jona
