Brown Town - photos
The last few days have seen incredible rainfall totals across the Gold and Tweed Coasts in the wake of ex-TC Debbie. Some locations in the hinterland recorded over 800mm in the space of under 48 hours.
Now, all of this rainfall has to go somewhere, and after flooding large swathes of low lying areas and cutting off major roads like the Pacific Motorway, this water eventually flows out to sea.
And the end result is Brown Town in the surf zone.
Check this surfcam roundup from the Gold and Tweed Coast. And remember not to swallow!

As Hurricane Higgins used to say:
If you can't sink the pink, pot the brown.
