Tyler Wright on Australian Story
Next Monday Women's World Champ Tyler Wright will appear on the ABC's answer to reality TV, Australian Story. Tyler has a fantastic story of her own but it can't be told without including the family backstory - most obviously brother Owen's injury and subsequent comeback.
“You could tell in his eyes. My brother never looks panicked," says Tyler. "He’s always been very calm and collected under most situations. In his eyes, his eyes, it was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.”
All the Wright family speaks candidly about Tyler’s emotional journey to the top. The program also features interviews with world champion surfers Layne Beachley, Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmore.
All For The Family premieres on Australian Story, 8pm Monday 27 March, 2017.

Should be a good story. Having know this family since they were babies, it has been one hell of a journey and not exactly the smoothest of rides all round, but they have weathered the storms the best way they knew how. But storms can be extremely powerfull and damaging.
I look forward to seeing the story. The unanswered question will be, can Owen win the World Title this year, because he has to be one of the most naturally gifted and talented surfers to ever represent Australia.
