Skeletons and donkeys - videos
All the solo selfie runs from the last swell at Skeleton Bay AKA Donkey Bay have been exhausted and now it's time for compilation clips. This edit is 100% drone footage but the Donkey is one wave where a filmer can get away with it, the sheer scope of the wave gets lost on a lone cameramen working a tripod from the sand.
There's some great barrel work to observe here. What men with high waistbands used to call 'trim' - adjusting speed to stay near the pocket of the wave - is employed to stellar effect with two handed stalls followed by 3G accleration. The result being max time under the porch.
Also, a quick heads up from your friends at Swellnet: skip the prelude - unless special FX and dancefloor kick-offs are your thing - and hit the 50 sec. mark.
