It went from high tide walls to shallow water womps in the space of a few hours, as Gabriel Medina played dark horse again, riding up the outside unchecked, at least until he threw down his second Perfect 10 of the comp. From 20th place a few comps ago, he's now in 5th place on the rankings and in striking distance for the gong.
