Remember last week's mental clips from Teahupo'o? Here's the full video: five minutes of insanity. The big stuff kicks in around 2:40, with THAT wipeout around 4:15. Shot by Tim Pruvost.
I'm really interested in what went through niccola's mind when he found himself nicely lodged in the lip... My god! Just looking at it makes me shiver!

Never get tired of watching huge Chopes. Mind blowing wipeouts. However I would love to see the complete wave in regards to those wipeouts. See how long they are down, the maelstrom aftermath, the dramatic rescue, then the surfers initial reaction to their experience..............
Its gotta be one of the greatest live shows on Earth......

I think everybody wants to see how he comes out behind that wave. Not sure why they never show this on the edits of any surf videos. Maybe they all drop their cameras and start actually checking if the guy is ok?

Beautiful camera work.
I can't even begin to comprehend what it would be like to be in that situation.
Around 3:20, that foamball action, spectacular.

Boy how did that guy around the 4 min mark survive not one but two of the worst wipeouts in history........love to watch it from the channel.

That was nuts. Lots of skill and mega balls no way José would I want to be on the end of those ropes. I agree with all of the above, I was waiting to see where he was going to pop up and if there was another mega set behind it.

Has to be the heaviest teahupoo, the direction is different to what we seen during code red..
Seems like it wrapped more and had a thicker lip..

What about the boats - don't they worry about putting the surfers (and themselves) in extreme danger by being a bee's dick from the pocket?
Luke GTuesday, 28 Jul 2015 at 9:11pm
Agreed, waiting for the footage of a boat going over then maybe something will be done to regulate the shit fight.

They seem to survive somehow, but imagine the stresses on their back, necks, hips and joints! Like being in a major car accident.
